Yet another travel industry executive has stated that he believes so called ‘COVID passports’ will be introduced, requiring anyone who wishes to board a plane to be vaccinated.
The president of travel company Acendas, Brent Blake, told Fox 4 News that “Traveler safety, to me, is top-of-the-line for everybody. And in order to do that, there’s going to be some requirements to be able to travel.”
Blake said that he believes that “until the government comes up with a standardised process, it’s going to be a little bit of a wild west show.”
“Right now it’s just all over the board,” Blake noted, adding that “makes it difficult if you’re a traveler to say ‘Hey I want to book something three months from now or six months from now, will it still be open and accessible to us, and maybe our family going on vacation?’”
Blake continued, “My recommendation is; get the vaccination because that’s going to help you be able to get into those foreign countries with minimal hassle. And number two; be ready to change your plans.”
Meanwhile, Doctor Gregory Poland of the Mayo cling issued a warning about the pitfalls of so called ‘immunity passports’.
“If the card is going to be used as some kind of immunity passport, or some sort of requirement to work, or go into certain facilities, then it raises questions about ‘is this your card?’, ‘is your card real?’ etc.”
The comments add to the litany of other government and travel industry figures in both the US, Britain and beyond who have suggested that ‘COVID passports’ are coming in order for ‘life to get back to normal’.
Violates HIPPA; violates 4A.
Not going to happen, legally.
I used to fly a few years for work. We’ve used frequent flyer tickets before but I can’t remember ever buying a plane ticket.
Looks like I won’t ever again.

If I want to go to, say, Germany, they’re really not going to care about HIPAA. This is about other countries laws, not necessarily ours.
Showing your papers to the jack-booted thugs as you try to go about your business is not what I consider “a return to normalcy”.
There are YUGE public health exceptions in HIPAA.
HIPAA is a joke.
You bet this will happen. Just like private companies (ie fascist companies) are censoring free speech, because they are not the government.
Private companies like Airlines, Cruise ships, foreign countries will absolutely implement this.
And it is disgusting.
That’s on Germany, and their tourism economy. I’m not going to permanently risk my health for authentic Weiner schnitzel and girls with hairy armpits.
Oh, well I guess I won’t leave Alabama. It’s awful here, I will be so miserable. If I was a yankee or foreigner I wouldn’t think of visiting, it’s so awful.

Have they traced any cluster infections to planes? I and my family have flown numerous times. What about restaurants? I recall at the beginning when they had daily briefings with Fauci/Brix that after the initial lockdown and flattening of the curve they would be able to identify hotspots and then swoop in and nip things in the bud. There would not be a need for additional stay at home orders.
How many of the “new cases” are from healthcare settings and healthcare workers. I’ll bet a huge percentage.
Don’t worry about this. Some entrepreneur will develop and sell these on the black market quickly for a nice fee.
My advice is to wait. Don’t be a guinea pig, which you certainly will be if you take the vaccine now as opposed to when 10 or 100 million others have taken it and you find out if they die or are sterilized by it.
Problem is the ones doing this are non-government entities, so our Constitutional rights (to the extent we have any left) do not apply.
The masks are just a test case to see how easy today’s Americans are to control. Who ever thought that Americans would be so easily gripped by fear they would willingly mask-up and demand others do the same?
Insulting, dehumanizing, unhealthy masks.
It’s a short step to compulsory vaccines. And don’t think these vaccines are one and done either.

Just about everything I need or the vast majority of what few people I care about or related to are in SC.
I lost interest in most travel a few years ago.
Plenty to do just keep home and projects going.
We will see if this notion sticks. At the end of the day, this and almost everything else, comes down to $$$$. If they, travel industry, can make a profit while requiring “papers” the they will do so. However, if it turns out they can’t make money then this will pass. Counterfeit vaccine documents might become a thriving industry.
A vaccine so deadly you must be tested to know if you have it, and forced to take a vaccination.
I certainly oppose the idea; but a squelch of it might be: OK, note foreign bank accounts on passports if you’re going to note immunizations. Fair enough?
