Antrim County is the strongly Republican-leaning county in northern Michigan, on the eastern shore of Grand Traverse Bay, where it was initially reported that Joe Biden had won, but where investigation revealed that 6,000 Trump votes had been credited to Biden, by a “glitch.”

There is nor report yet that I am aware of on the results of the audit, but this tweet by a Michigan-based writer would seem to indicate some … uh … irregularities:

Cynicism is utterly warranted. We don’t know if the machines have been under seal, or whether they might have been altered. But let’s see what the audit produces before coming to a conclusion.

I seem to remember reading just this past weekend that two stacks of ballots — exactly half for Trump, half for Biden — were fed into a suspect counting device several times. The results should have been 50% - 50% but instead came up with the identical results showing Biden the winner. The same 50-50 batch was fed thru several times, and each time Biden was the winner by the same margin. C’mon man!

My definiton of “forensic examination” would be obtaining an image of the object code that actually ran during those days and then comparing it to the object code produced from the source code provided by the company; if they match, then an examination of the source code. Anything less than this is not useful and could yield a deceptive clean bill of health.

I’m not sure what forensically audited entails. The software on the machine is more than likely only the object code. If it were programed to alter the tally of the votes cast, the the source code would not be retrievable.

Even if a bunch a ballots were run through the mch again. The software could have been designed only to alter votes in a way that could not be replicated.

What we need if for a developer to step forward and testify that the code was indeed programmed to be malicious and provide the original source code.
