Biden said he urged Obama to 'follow your instincts on this one' despite initial hesitation
President-elect Joe Biden came under fire earlier this year for denying his opposition to the 2011 raid that killed Usama bin Laden after previously claiming that he advised then-President Obama against it.
But a new documentary appears to show Biden contradicting his original story again, with the former vice president claiming that while he suggested doing "one more pass" over the compound, he urged Obama to move forward with the raid and trust his instincts.
"When it came time to go or not go, the president went around the room. I think there were 17 people around the table ... and [he] said, 'what do you think we should do?'' Biden said in CNN's new documentary, "President in Waiting," that aired on Saturday.
"Two said go, and one said don't go, and I'm the last person in the room. And again, this is a place where I gotta reserve space for the president," he said.
Biden explained that "there was one option remaining," which called for one final flyover of bin Laden's compound in Pakistan to ensure the target was secure.

From what I pieced together from various reports, Obama kept shutting down planned missions.
So, Panetta finally asked him “Under what conditions would you give the go ahead” and Obama (stupidly) outlined some.
Then Panetta made sure those conditions were put in place, and ordered the mission.
After the mission was started they called Obama off the golf course to tell him, and he tried to stop it (again).
Panetta (and possibly hilLIARy) took him aside and said they would go public if he did, and besides the mission was already underway- having met the conditions he explicitly gave.
Obama never ‘gave the order’ as he so bravely told everyone. He only took the credit.
Obama's instinct was to let Bin Laden go.
One of his underlings made the decision for him.

He urged Obama to hit Bin Laden at the same time he hit corn pop.

WIKI EXCERPT On April 28, Admiral Mullen explained the final plan to the NSC. As a measure to bolster the “fight your way out” scenario, Chinook helicopters were to be positioned nearby with additional troops. The greater part of the advisers in the meeting supported going forward with the raid. Only Vice President Biden completely opposed it.
