It looks like the ‘Kraken’ was just a bunch of hot air, at least so far.

No it was not hot air. The Kraken has been released by some retired general who misidentified a US Army Battalion (305th MI Battalion, now an inactive placeholder for GIs without MOSes), as nicknamed the “Kraken” (it has no nickname) which battalion with heavy losses captured the servers in Frankfort under withering fire from the CIA.

She never said which Kraken or who would release it, and so assumptions were immediately made by all and sundry.

I’m pretty sure she claimed to be the one to release it.

What was this about, a renegade army unit fought it out with the CIA in Germany for control of some servers?
