“Rush was saying on Friday that this will have no effect as the mailed in ballots are separated from the envelopes and will look like any other ballot. Not saying he is right or wrong, but what signatures are going to be audited and how are they connected to potentially illegal votes?”

That was my understanding, too. That the signature envelopes were separated instead of being stapled to the ballots, so as to prevent any later verification of ballot integrity.

“They do not make moves unless they already know the answer and outcome.”

Exactly!

Special sessions consider State bills/referendums.
Kemp is twisting this.

This issue is in regards to a federal election.
The Constitution rules.

Consider this...
Kemp is the executive of his State (a POTUS, more or less)
The State has a House.
The State has a Senate.

Now, could you imagine POTUS Trump telling the House (Pelosi) and Senate (McConnell) that they couldn't meet for any reason?
Nope, the House (Pelosi) and Senate (McConnell) can meet independently from POTUS as they are an equal branch of government.

It's the same within a State.
Federalism, pure and simple.

Special sessions cover State bills/referendums...
Revised January 2013 CONSTITUTION of the STATE of GEORGIA (page 34)

Paragraph VII. Special sessions of the General Assembly. (a) The Governor may convene the General Assembly in special session by proclamation which may be amended by the Governor prior to the convening of the special session or amended by the Governor with the approval of three-fifths of the members of each house after the special session has convened; but no laws shall be enacted at any such special session except those which relate to the purposes stated in the proclamation or in any amendment thereto. Snip...Convening without Governor's approval. (which is moot since, as noted above, no law or amendment would be in consideration) (b)The Governor shall convene the General Assembly in special session for all purposes whenever three-fifths of the members to which each house is entitled certify to the Governor in writing, with a copy to the Secretary of State, that in their opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state. The General Assembly may convene itself if, after receiving such certification, the Governor fails to do so within three days, excluding Sundays.

JMO, YMMV

.......most determinative to me about this Georgia Special Session and the Kemp/Raffensberger team obstructing it is that these two guys have been called out PUBLICLY and LOUDLY as having benefitted hugely with Chinese money.

The guy calling them out has assets and KNOWS what he’s doing and has invited them to sue him.

So, where’s the Kemp/Raffensberger boys ANSWER?

ok...but wasn’t there a surge of ballots between 10pm and 1am?

If they were mail-ins, as I think I read, would there not be envlopes also? Even if they are not attached or associated with an actual ballot? Should those numbers petty much agree assuming the envelopes were saved?

My experience was in a different state than GA, so I cannot give actual GA experience on the specific requirements at this time for absentee ballots.

But “yes”, IF they were legal mail-ins, “yes” there would be envelopes. And the numbers (ballots to envelopes) theoretically would match up - # envelopes = # ballots.

But matching those numbers does not mean the envelope containing a legal ballot. The ballot might be illegal because of fraud or because an honest voter did not follow the absentee submission / personal certification requirements. But to ensure voter privacy, once the requirements are determined to have been met, the ballot goes a separate way from the envelope. If you come back later and can show by the envelope that the requirements were not met (say for failure to have the clearly written name or address of a valid attesting witness), there is no way to find the non-compliant ballot.

Now if you have election workers who fill out missing or incorrect info / certification ... or turn a blind eye to missing info and let the ballot pass through ... b/c the envelope is separated from the ballot, you cannot correct this problem. Hence the importance of having observers ... except they were kicked out, or told to leave so counting can be done in their absence, or positioned so far away they effectively were not observers. Hence, even if the envelopes were saved, you would be able to perhaps say “x” number should have been rejected for wrongful certification, or “y” number should have been rejected for late postmark ... etc etc.... you just cannot prove to which ballot envelope applied. And then there is the case of actual manufacture of ballots for people who do not exist or exist on the roles but do not vote. There are many stories of people showing up to vote being told they already voted. Did they? Or did they not? I could go on about the fraud that takes place, including precinct poll workers who “help” voters vote their ticket.

As Giuliani stated using his professional fraud background where he locked people up ... if you look at certain groups of states, within that state voter demographics, certain actions taken, you look at historical results, and other facts - it was a criminal conspiracy to commit election fraud. This GA video documents how part of that fraud worked. Until those people in the video and their bosses testify under oath as to what exactly happened and who told whom what to do and when, how those suitcases got there, their party affiliation, etc etc, ... there is no way the SOS can certify the results as being free from fraud. SOS must show there was no fraud given this evidence. But expect some or all of those workers on tape to lawyer up and plead the 5th which is their right to do. It is also the right of the legislature to step in this extraordinary case and determine its electors. If GA citizens don’t want the legislature to step in, then run clean elections and condemn those that cost them their vote.

And what exactly is it supposed to achieve that is different from the manual recount? Umm, to check for forged signatures/proper voter rolls that match absentee requests with the canvassing/correlate every affidavit (Georgia law requiring signature on the envelope containing the official ballot) to determine is false witnesses are evident.

The actual ballots mean nothing. If there are false witnesses (Errant signatures) greater than the margin of the win (About 50% of the margin of victory), then the election is tainted and equal protection violated.

Listening to Rush. Fox News at the top of the hour says Georgia has certified the election for Biden with Kemp saying there have been two recounts with the same results: Biden won.

Recounts were a sham and Kemp is sold out.

Our GA legislature is trying to call a special session and we should be supporting them.

Lawsuits are headed to SCOTUS as well.

I do not see why the Legislative Branch in Georgia cannot call itself into emergency session?

After all they are separate Branches of government.
