GA Governor Again Rejects Special Session To Overturn Election Results
NY Post ^ | 12/07/20 | A.P.

ATLANTA — Georgia’s governor is again telling lawmakers that he won’t call a special session to overturn Georgia’s election results and appoint 16 presidential electors who would support Republican President Donald Trump instead of Democratic president-elect Joe Biden.

Republican Brian Kemp issued a joint statement Sunday with Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, saying it would violate state law for the General Assembly to name electors instead of following the current state law that calls for the governor to certify electors after results are certified.

“Any attempt by the legislature to retroactively change that process for the Nov. 3rd election would be unconstitutional and immediately enjoined by the courts, resulting in a long legal dispute and no short-term resolution,” the two said in their statement.

Trump and Kemp spoke by phone hours before Trump held a rally on Saturday in Valdosta. The president asked Kemp to order the legislative session and the governor refused. According to a tweet from the governor, Trump also asked him to order an audit of absentee ballots from the presidential race in his state. Kemp has said he can’t do that because he has no authority to interfere in the electoral process on Trump’s behalf.

Trump on Sunday tweeted more unproven allegations that Georgia’s election was fraudulent, blaming Kemp and Duncan for inaction.

“Has anyone informed the so-called (says he has no power to do anything!) Governor @BrianKempGA & his puppet Lt. Governor @GeoffDuncanGA, that they could easily solve this mess, & WIN. Signature verification & call a Special Session. So easy!”

Duncan and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger appeared on television Sunday to defend the integrity of the election.

Bias headline....

It's to allow an audit the signatures which is within Georgia State law to provide transparency and confidence to the Georgia voter.

Fraud vitiates the election.

The corrupt Governor hereby asserts he is a

“It’s to allow an audit the signatures...”

Rush was saying on Friday that this will have no effect as the mailed in ballots are separated from the envelopes and will look like any other ballot. Not saying he is right or wrong, but what signatures are going to be audited and how are they connected to potentially illegal votes?

Aren’t at least three legislators petitioning to call for a special session? It is probably more within their power as opposed to Kemp’s to do something like this.

Sounds like some very dirty politicians in GA.

They aren’t alone though. AZ, PA, MI, WI, NV all have dirty pols.

The only real question is there an honest authority that can plainly see the fraud and override their dirty decisions.

After that prosecutions can begin. Treason, after all, is a very serious crime.

If that is the case, then why does the Governor continue to block it.

From what I am hearing they have already done preliminaries on auditing the signature of the ballots. This was to make sure it was not a waste of time. You have to remember when we are dealing with Lawyers. They do not make moves unless they already know the answer and outcome. If the audit of the signature of the vote is allowed, then Trump will win Georgia. This is why the Governor will not call the emergency legislation into session.

Folks have said this was a message to Kemp...as in, "nice family you've got there."

They can check signatures against the database for one, that will tell a lot in terms of how many fraudulent ballots there are. Legislators will be calling for more than that, though

Anyway, reposting the petition info here:

Senators Introduce Petition to Call Special Session

PETITION.call and convene.SENATE.pdfPETITION.call and convene.SENATE.pdf
PETITION.call and convene.HOUSE.pdfPETITION.call and convene.HOUSE.pdf

(December 5, 2020) | Saturday, Sen. William Ligon (R – Brunswick), Sen. Greg Dolezal (R – Cumming), Sen. Brandon Beach (R – Alpharetta) and Sen. Burt Jones (R – Jackson) drafted a Petition calling for and convening a Special Session. The petition serves as notification to Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that an emergency exists such that a session of the General Assembly is being called for and convened on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in order to attend to such emergency and for all purposes provided for pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States.

This Petition comes after the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee was inundated with affidavits, signed under penalty of perjury, from citizens all over the state who testified to blatant election fraud and many violations of the law that have taken place during the 2020 General Election as well as during the follow-up recounts.

“We recognize our duty to move forward with this Petition due to the level of fraud and violations of law which took place during this 2020 election cycle. We urge others to join us,” stated Sen. Ligon. “We need at least 29 signatures in the Senate on the Petition before 9 AM, Tuesday, December 8, 2020. A similar Petition in the House requires at least 91 signatures by that same time. Now is the time to call your senators and representatives to stand up and be counted on this effort to restore integrity in the election.”

As the Petition makes clear, testimonial and other evidence given before the Georgia Senate Judiciary Subcommittee demonstrated a systemic failure to observe Georgia Election laws. Underage individuals and convicted felons registered and were allowed to vote. People voted who were not listed in the state’s records as having been registered to vote. Voters who moved to a different county more than 30 days prior to the election and failed to re-register were allowed to cast votes. Voters registered using bogus addresses such as UPS facilities and other stores, yet their votes counted. Ballots of individuals who were deceased prior to Election Day counted. Over and over again, ballots were counted outside the view of poll watchers or designated monitors, defying the law. Even the law itself was modified by an unconstitutional agreement which weakened signature verification requirements for absentee ballot applications and absentee ballots as set out in Code Sections 21-2-381 and 21-2-386.

According to committee members, that was just a part of the testimony that came before them and much more is still being submitted. Any certification of electors by the Governor of Georgia or the Georgia Secretary of State in light of such systemic failures, the Petition states, would not be in conformity with the Georgia Election Code enacted by the General Assembly pursuant to its plenary power. Therefore, following Supreme Court guidance in Bush v. Gore, 531 U.S. 98 at 104, a state legislature, “after granting the franchise in the special context of Article II, can take back the power to appoint electors.”

“We believe we have reached the point that the results of this election are untrustworthy,” stated Sen. Burt Jones. “Such pervasive disregard for election laws by our election officials requires a decisive response. It is time for our legislative body to do its job.”

It would be a useful check to see if the number of signatures equaled the number of counted ballots.

This is just a lie. The legislature has the power to determine who actually won the state election. It is expressly constitutional. Kemp just doesn’t WANT to allow for that kind of oversight into the crooked November election.

“It would be a useful check to see if the number of signatures equaled the number of counted ballots.”

I ask as a point of clarification...What is the origin of the signatures that are being checked against the ballots? And what exactly is it supposed to achieve that is different from the manual recount?

total ballots = mail in + voted in precincts early + voted on election day.

And even if they are equal, or the ballots exceed whatever the source of these signatures by a number less than Buyden’s current lead, Buyden will be declared winner and any further challenge would be used further against Trump.

Guiliani was criticized mildly by a GOP legislator at the Dec 2nd hearing as to why Trump did not ask for a recount. Rudy responded, that once illegally cast (mailed in) ballots (separated from the envelopes forever) are intermingled with legally cast ballots, there is no way to distinguish them and a recount will only confirm the original result - Buyden wins.

The same scenario has played out in key states ... including ... (1) key states; (2) extremely high mail in votes; (3) statistically significant, extremely low rejection rates of mail in ballots (4) after hours stoppage of counting (5) obstruction or barring of GOP observers (6) changing election laws during the acvtual election by officials contrary to the Constitution; (7) unexplained early morning hour spikes in votes that erased Trump’s huge lead (8) Dominion company refusal to speak at state hearings (9) allegations of software modifications to change votes.

In addition, GA has a smoking gun video that despite the expected lies of the media, it cannot be explained away. All the perpetrators in the video should be compelled to testify or assert their 5th Amendment rights.

I am not saying a signature check won’t work in GA, I just don’t know enough to see how it will “clear everything up”, especially since the GA video is the most damning piece of evidence that is easily understood by even those demonkkkraps and media who lie about what it means.

I can guess at this moment why the GA GOP gubnar and SOS won’t move forward on this or other avenues they may have to make sure that the election is not tainted with fraud and illegal voting and illegal election worker activity. They probably have sealed their political fates with their own party’s nomination next time around.

The manual recount just counts the same already counted ballots.

Supposedly there were ballots pulled out from somewhere. If there are more “mail in” ballots than signatures on envelopes, it might be cause for a different look.

Just guessing here.

I have actual experience with this in another state - both as a voter and previously working as a precinct judge.

The ballots voted on election day are exactly the same as those absentee ballots. The absentee ballots are returned in a larger size envelope to prevent creases so they can be machine scanned. The signature/envelope is separated from the ballot. Once signature/envelope with date, witness signature “verified”, there is no way to distinguish whether a ballot was voted on election day or by absentee because they are commingled.

For fraudulent voting, if fraudster can get the illegal ballot past the envelope opening stage and into the stack - it is nearly impossible to distinguish. Fraudsters (1) know who does and does not vote in precincts, (2) send ballot requests under fake names to common addresses, etc. A state with 10 million people, it takes effort, but one can create tens of thousands of illegal absentee ballots if given enough time or army of people. Extended early voting has helped fraud because the time is extended.
