A few decades ago, I had a job with an office on Ford island. Was in an old WWII hangar on the SE corner. Near where all those seaplanes got nailed.

Spent a good while wandering around. The old hangar door tracks are still there from the wrecked buildings. Original concrete is still good. Looked for bullet pockmarks from the strafing, never saw anything definite.

As far as I could tell, stood close to the spot that famous photo of the Shaw blowing up was taken. Not that far away across the channel, had to have been loud.
