“We need at least 29 signatures in the Senate on the Petition before 9 AM, Tuesday, December 8, 2020. A similar Petition in the House requires at least 91 signatures by that same time.

Republicans have majority

Senate 34 to 29

House 104 to 91

Enough room to lose a couple of rino commies, sell outs, chickens.

Is this a road to real action or a political fig leaf to cover themselves from being implicated as Kemp’s accomplices?

Very good and disheartening question - we will know the answer in time. You sound like me - I hardly believe anything any more.

A special legislative session is a small price for the GOP Establishment to pay to get support for their two US Senators.

That message needs to be sent loud and clear o the Establishment so they will pass it on to Governor Kemp.

No need to pass it on to anyone......

Earlier Sunday, Giuliani appeared on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” where he updated host Maria Bartiromo on the efforts to have state legislatures toss election results and appoint a new set of electors.

What can I do as a citizen of North Carolina?

I pray for the sunlight of truth to shine down on this election. I ask that my own eyes be wide open to truth.

I have gone down to the Board of Elections to change my party affiliation from Republican to Independent. I have been Republican since 1980. I feel that if the RNC sees a wave of people leaving that they might change their attitude of indifference towards Trump.

As a citizen of NC I wonder can citizens in other states put pressure on their representatives that there vote was disenfranchised by states that have allowed fraud to run rampant?

The email addresses I posted are not the ones through the legislator/senate sites. They are the public ones, which means as a citizen you can contact them openly - as an American citizen - and let them know how important it is to you and others that they make this stand for honesty and integrity in our ability to vote and remain free. Appeal to their sense of duty and their oath.

Pray for guidance and thanks for all you do!!

“... the 2022 Republican primaries in Georgia should be quite a show.”

Huh. Yeah.

We’ll find out how much the RINO’s have learned from their Dim pals as we watch the GOP ticket topple to the left.

No but you do need 60% of each house to request the special session. Not enough Republicans for that.

This isn't about passing legislation. The power comes direct from the Electors Clause of the U.S. Constitution, Article II, Sec. 1, Clause 2:'

Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of senators and representatives to which the state may be entitled in the Congress, but no senator or representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an elector.

I have opined that in view of McPherson v. Blacker, 146 U.S. 1 (1892) the legislatures could just call this an electoral session and vote the electors as a matter of federal constitutional right which supercedes the limits of the legislature in the state constitutions:
Legislative vs. Electoral Sessions of a state legislature

Six states swing states stopped about the same time. Kicked out poll watchers. And then almost every vote went to Sleepy Joe.

FUBAR on steroids

Fat Chance.

your fake percentage is NOT INCLUDED or IMPLIED in the federal constitution.

that may be a “tacked on” state law.
and in this matter the STATE constitution or laws do not mean bupkis.

they are doing the governor a courtesy. notifiying him that they don’t need his permission. constitutionally on the federal election assembly representing AZ.

The communist traitor republican will not respond. he can’t. the chicoms appear to have his family and associates in the crosshairs.
The house will do it with our without him. They will do it and present an alternate slate of electors.
This will be appealed by the commie gope and demo traitors to the supreme court of the land, eventually.. and they will be promptly thrown out on federal constitutional grounds.
losers lose.
sometimes, they work on web sites like this... for presenting discouraging or dispiriting propaganda for the chinese communists.

As I understand it, based on listening to Rudy and Jenna Ellis over the last few days, the Georgia legislature doesn’t really need Kemp’s permission to take back their powers to decide which - if any - electors to appoint. Any legislative sessions needed in order to discharge that authority in a responsible way would be justified. The Georgia legislature is punting the ball to Kemp because they don’t have the political courage to do something for which they don’t need Kemp’s permission.

Any legislative sessions needed in order to discharge that authority in a responsible way would be justified. The Georgia legislature is punting the ball to Kemp because they don’t have the political courage to do something for which they don’t need Kemp’s permission.

Kemp released this tonight:

For Immediate Release Sunday, December 6, 2020 Gov. Kemp, Lt. Gov. Duncan Issue Statement on Request for Special Session of General Assembly Atlanta, GA - Today, Governor Brian P. Kemp and Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan issued the following joint statement regarding a call from four Georgia State Senators for a special session of the Georgia General Assembly.

"While we understand four members of the Georgia Senate are requesting the convening of a special session of the General Assembly, doing this in order to select a separate slate of presidential electors is not an option that is allowed under state or federal law. "State law is clear: the legislature could only direct an alternative method for choosing presidential electors if the election was not able to be held on the date set by federal law. In the 1960s, the General Assembly decided that Georgia’s presidential electors will be determined by the winner of the state’s popular vote. Any attempt by the legislature to retroactively change that process for the November 3rd election would be unconstitutional and immediately enjoined by the courts, resulting in a long legal dispute and no short-term resolution.

"The judicial system remains the only viable - and quickest - option in disputing the results of the November 3rd election in Georgia."

But if you read the petition, they are informing Kemp they are convening a special session - at least that's how it read to me:

(December 5, 2020) | Saturday, Sen. William Ligon (R – Brunswick), Sen. Greg Dolezal (R – Cumming), Sen. Brandon Beach (R – Alpharetta) and Sen. Burt Jones (R – Jackson) drafted a Petition calling for and convening a Special Session. The petition serves as notification to Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that an emergency exists such that a session of the General Assembly is being called for and convened on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in order to attend to such emergency and for all purposes provided for pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States.

This Petition comes after the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee was inundated with affidavits, signed under penalty of perjury, from citizens all over the state who testified to blatant election fraud and many violations of the law that have taken place during the 2020 General Election as well as during the follow-up recounts.

Interesting. So they’re not requesting a special session from Kemp but are informing him that they intend to convene one. Good for them. It is within their power to do so. The Georgia statute Kemp sites takes a back seat to Article II Section I Clause II of the Constitution takes precedence over any Georgia statue Kemp wishes to site.
