Sweden’s Covid-19 experiment is over.
After a late autumn surge in infections led to rising hospitalizations and deaths, the government has abandoned its attempt—unique among Western nations—to combat the pandemic through voluntary measures.
Like other Europeans, Swedes are now heading into the winter facing restrictions ranging from a ban on large gatherings to curbs on alcohol sales and school closures—all aimed at preventing the country’s health system from being swamped by patients and capping what is already among the highest per capita death tolls in the world.
The clampdown, which started last month, put an end to a hands-off approach that had made the Scandinavian nation a prime example in the often heated global debate between opponents and champions of pandemic lockdowns.
Admirers of the Swedish way as far as the U.S. hailed its benefit to the economy and its respect for fundamental freedoms. Critics called it a gamble with human lives, especially those of the most vulnerable. With its shift in strategy, the government is now siding with those advocating at least some mandatory restrictions...
As late as last month, Swedes enjoyed mass sporting and cultural events and health-care officials insisted that the voluntary measures were enough to spare the country the resurgence in infections that was sweeping Europe.
Weeks later, with total Covid-19-related deaths reaching almost 700 per million inhabitants, infections growing exponentially and hospital wards filling up, the government made a U-turn.
In an emotional televised address on Nov. 22, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven pleaded with Swedes to cancel all nonessential meetings and announced a ban on gatherings of more than eight people, which triggered the closure of cinemas and other entertainment venues. Next, they will mandate a vaccination that is “supposedly” 94% effective.
First off, the virus itself is a pretty effective vaccine.
It’s so effective that 80% of those infected will never feel a thing.
Of the other 20% who do experience symptoms 99.997% of those “victims” will recover.
Hmmmm...Covid as a vaccination is nearly 5% more effective than some witches goo cooked up in a lad that really doesn’t solve anything?
All the Swiss have to do is release HCQ/Zinc/Azrithromycin and Ivermectin to the public and problem solved. These meds have a 95% success of curing Covid...........
THAT would be my next National experiment.

Contrary to popular belief the mortality rate for covid is actually a fraction of 1 percent....were you aware of that? If not I’m not surprised...one of those little facts the overlords and their propaganda arm (aka liberal news) don’t want us to know.
You’d think everyone would be more pissed at the Chinese then they seem to be. Where is the worldwide outrage?
And to top it off the VIPs of the USA are telling us that 80 million people voted for their puppet.

Expected - it’s now winter there, the days of avoiding the virus is over for them.

The virus arrived in northern Italy late winter last year but for rest of Europe, it was the start of Spring.
Always the virus itself creates the best anti-bodies/immunity, better than any vaccine, provided your body is strong enough to vanquish a mediocre invasion of virus.
All those people who have tested positive but had no serious symptoms have benefited. That includes myself during the Carnival cruise ending on Feb 29th was was jam packed.
What isn’t mentioned is how Sweden changed only 2 weeks AFTER the EU made 750B euros available for WuFlu ‘relief’ for member states. Amazing how payola results in govt. mandates that lines elites pockets. As always, FOLLOW THE MONEY!
This is about Sweden, not Switzerland.
I wonder if leaders will ever notice that nothing used against this virus has exhibited the slightest effect on its spread. They just keep increasing the dosage of their ineffective restrictions, and the virus keeps spreading faster.
The PCR testing—demand to know how many amplification cycles are employed! Fourty-five cycles will get a positive from testing anything as a sample. Fourty could be from any viral encountered in your medical history. Thirty-five and you are unlikely to be passing along whatever they detected. Thirty is a bit more close to stay home and rest. Twenty-five confirms why you feel lousy and wanted a second opinion to back up your own suspicions.
Florida now requires documentation of the level of amplification for a given test result. Everyone should do this. If you missed it first pass:

Every indication in the data that the Swedish “experiment” was successful in the only measure that means anything — daily deaths.

Should be interesting to watch and see if their cases skyrocket, or not.
Although, nothing prevents them from lying and saying cases dropped to *prove* that lockdowns *work*.
Call me jaded but i don’t believe a thing they are telling us about it any more.
