a global disaster (a periodic solar micronova 12,000 years ago?)

That would be the comet strikes on North American Glaciers in 10,600BC which killed off all the mega-fauna and the Clovis peoples during the 100 year rain of stone and continent-wide firestorms, ushering in the Younger Dryas Age - the coldest period on record - was a real and permanent climate change.

And you wondered why astronomy was so important to ancient peoples?

The catastrophy might have been the same that created the “Carolina Bays”.

The Carolina Bays as evidence of a cosmic impact.

That had to have repercussions across the entire North American continent.

Could there actually have been an entire civilization of Egyptians living there? If so, how did they get there?

Archeologists regard oceans as barriers.

For the peoples of the times, they were wide open trade and exploration routes.

Else a) Polynesia would be devoid of human life the the Europeans discovered more than 1,000 islands in the pacific, and b) Europeans would never found Polynesia by walking...

So let me get this right: a substantial Egyptian colony travels half-way around the world to find a spot completely hidden, nearly impossible to get to, and you can only get to it one-way, downstream, passing by a couple of thousand miles of some of the best farmland and game filled forests on earth...

Assuming they left Egypt by way of the Med, and not by way of the Red Sea...

I think it is possible that at one point, the earth was 90 degrees off from it’s current poles... meaning that antarctica was about where the middle of the atlantic is now and was easily traversed with older boats between the southern tip of Africa to Antarctica to South America.

The entire trip would have been more temperate as well. Either the deep oceans at the top and bottom created larger ice caps that made the rotation of the earth wobbly or a meteor hit that was big enough to cause the change.

The Zuni Enigma: A Native American People's Possible Japanese Connection

"Did a group of thirteenth-century Japanese merge with the people, language, and religion of the Zuni tribe? For many years, anthropologists have understood the Zuni in the American Southwest to occupy a special place in Native American culture and ethnography. Their language, religion, and blood type are startlingly different from all other tribes. Most puzzling, the Zuni appear to have much in common with the people of Japan. In a book with groundbreaking implications, Dr. Nancy Yaw Davis examines the evidence underscoring the Zuni enigma and suggests the circumstances that may have led Japanese on a religious quest―searching for the legendary "middle world" of Buddhism―across the Pacific to the American Southwest more than seven hundred years ago."

A biblical flood perhaps?

Ice age after, then a big melt? That would explain a lot.

Civilizations may have existed much before and wiped themselves out or were wiped out only to slowly regenerate. The Earth has been habitable a loooong looong time

Anyone remember the two aircraft that collided over the Grand Canyon back around 1956?

We flew over it in 1968 in a KC-135. Saw it all from one view! Monument Valley was great from the air!

But what those people probably don’t know is that the Grand Canyon ****might**** once have been the home of an entire underground civilization.

Always add sugar to a story for the hook.

The Smithsonian has been covering up any and all findings that go against the Theory of Evolution for decades.
From the the findings of cave art showing dinosaurs to the discovery of giant skeletons.
