One of the Last Honest Reporters Speaks Out

Slanted is the third book by Sharyl Attkisson, and as with her other two, it is a refreshing read. It is nice to know that there are still independent journalists who put fact over opinion, and she is one of those. To no one's surprise, she talks about the shift in the news, from a focus on reporting the facts to more on trying to push a narrative on the American people.

Attkisson begins Slanted by talking about George Orwell's book 1984. Attkisson tells the story of "the hapless protagonist, Winston Smith, a government records editor at the Ministry of Truth — which is a job that's all about lies. The modern media have also discovered how to carefully filter information on the front end to make sure that only the 'correct' view is presented in the first place. That way, the story never has to change."

She directly told American Thinker, "We in the media have, to a frightening degree, gotten on board with the efforts to convince the public that they do not need or deserve access to all information, only that which powerful interests see fit for them to have."

Did anyone ever wonder how the media constantly use anonymous sources to push their narrative? Attkisson recently testified before a Senate Committee her beliefs:

--snip-- In the book, she also speaks about social media, Twitter, and Google along with mainstream media regarding the way they redefined their roles. "The same powerful interests that figured out how to successfully dominate news narratives in the first decade and a half of this century saw in 2016 that people could still get unfettered access to information online. So, they set about to change that. That's what we're seeing today. --snip--

With a few exceptions, America doesnt have a free, independent press. It has a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.

To me, the crucial point is that CNN itself decided to ditch Hunter’s laptop story to save Biden’s *** because many
Voters have since said they would not have voted for Biden if they had known of the laptop’s incendiary contents.

CNN head Mark Zucker provided extremely valuable services to the Biden Campaign AND the Democratic Party
far in excess of Federal election Law. Ergo, Zucker has unwittingly opened up himself and CNN to criminal prosecution.

TALKING POINTS
<><> Project Veritas, monitored and recorded CNN’s morning editorial conference call for some two months....
<><> CNN PTB are heard plotting the “news of the day”
<><> CNN head Zucker dictates the network’s editorial slant.
<><> Zucker and his henchmen are in lockstep
<><> CNN was heard manipulating news items, hand-picking stories to be reported, and how they will be presented......
<><> CNN itself decided Hunter’s laptop story should be ditched to save Joe Biden’s ***.
<><> Many voters said they would not have voted Biden if they knew about the contents of Hunter’s laptop.
<><> CNN made sure candidate Biden was protected at all costs.
<><> CNN is a criminal accessory after the fact, aiding and abetting, colluding in the Democrats’ election steal.
<><> L/E needs to uncover what CNN knew about the election steal....and when did they know it?

The eneMedia has always talked about the “angle” of their stories. That’s a literal synonym for “slant.” They just prefer using the less obnoxious terminology.

“CNN head Zucker dictates the network’s editorial slant.”

Reads like a cheap rewrite of a James Bond movie.

Catherine Herridge is fair and a good reporter as well. the only one at CBS. Not sure why she left Fox, but probably because their standards started to deteriorate. (At the time she left, there were multiple sexual abuse cases that were seething under the surface, like Ed Henry and Kimberly Guilfoyle. Peter Doocey is a good reporter, as well as a few others at Fox, but not many. Sara Carter is good. There are very few left in the media that are actually reporters.

“probably because their standards started to deteriorate”

Correct.

She could see the present corruption coming; and if that be the case, then may as well work under a new contract that gave her a chance at something - more on her own terms.
