Manchin has not said he'd switch parties, but he also hasn't done anything to put a stop to the Washington rumor mill. When Insider asked him about that prospect, he stopped short of saying he'd ever abandon the Democratic Party.

This is the stupidest of all the fake news.
Well, maybe the most typical.
Manchin won’t switch, he just likes the attention that people give him thinking he might.
I doubt he will switch party’s. He loves the attention.
Why would the GOP want another Mitt Romney?
He’s supposed to represent the people of WV, not Schmuck Schumer.
If a gun control bill comes up, he’ll either see the light or feel the heat.
Yep
Great just what the GOP needs another RINO.
Speaking of Mitt, can we trade him for two 2028 wild cards?
I know it would be hard to do without him, but I think we
could suffer through it.
See’s the future either way GA turns out and positioning himself within the critical path for influential monies on either side - GFYJM
Maybe he’s had a talk with the Lord and realizes He’s in charge of his next breath . . . and there won’t be any explaining at the Judgment (for that matter any of us).

Yes...it’s fake WITH A PURPOSE. The leftist Business Insider is trying to put into the heads of the USEFUL IDIOTS and Low IQ’ers amongst us the notion “See, it won’t matter if the two Republican candidates in Georgia lose their Senate races... Manchin will come through”.
And many of our resident IDIOTS will fall for it.
“Speaking of Mitt, can we trade him for two 2028 wild cards?”
I’d trade him for a old single shot shotgun and a blind bird dog.
Dump all three in the same hole.
John McCain was the same way. He played both sides as it suited his immediate personal goals, nothing more.
I hear ya...
It’s a pipe dream for him to switch parties. First, he wouldn’t be trusted or sought out as a newly minted republican, so he’d have to get all of his leverage up front, and leverage only gets you to the next election, and I don’t think hedt be up for reelection until 2024, so any currency he had would be exhausted by then. In two years, if the Republicans held onto control, he’d be back to the end of the line. Second, he’s in a good spot with the democrat leadership, they know they can count on him when they need him and they give him some leeway elsewhere. All this crossing the aisle stuff is theater. Last, he clearly wants to be seen as this sort of moderating negotiator figure who gets courted for big votes. If he switched parties, he would become a lightning rod for Democrat hatred, especially if his defection would shift the control of the senate.
He may be our only hope to stop adding states, eliminating the filibuster or packing the courts.
This clown voted to impeach President Trump. He knows his days as a West Virgina Senator are numbered as a Democrat. A solid conservative will beat him in 2024, thus I expect him to make the switch to GOP after the 2022 midterm.
