Republican Sens. John Cornyn, Susan Collins: Start New Year with DACA Amnesty
Breitbart ^ | Dec 3,2020 | JOHN BINDER

Republican Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Susan Collins (R-ME), both of whom just won reelection, say the U.S. Senate must start with an amnesty for illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in an effort to reach “comprehensive immigration reform.”

During a summit hosted by the pro-amnesty, pro-mass immigration group American Business Immigration Coalition, Cornyn said he considers an amnesty for the roughly 800,000 illegal aliens enrolled in DACA — and potentially the millions more who are eligible for the program — a starting point in the new Congress.

Likewise, Collins — who most recently staved off a challenge from Democrat Sara Gideon — said the first issue on immigration that the new Congress should advance is an amnesty for DACA illegal aliens.

“There are three areas that we could start with. The first is the DACA population, the DREAMers,” Collins said before touting her support for H-2B visas, H-2A visas, and more foreign worker migration to take U.S. jobs in rural areas.

Trump would have done the same - he wanted the same in his first term, but the Dems didn’t want to give him the ‘victory’ then.

The REAL QUESTION is what happens with the 30 million other Illegals. That’s what I’m watching for.

If I remember correctly, President Trump proposed the same thing about a year ago, no?
Only for the Dems to reject it out of hand.

How about, No?

It would be great if all the Swampers had terrifying experiences that made them see the error of their ways, like Scrooge, only with more tar and feathers.

Biden will be able to do anything he wants even if the republicans win the two Ga Senate seats.

Elections don’t work

Regarding DACA, how about a middle ground that makes sense? The Customs laws require a citizen candidate have five year legal residency in the United States. Many of the DACA people have been here far longer than that, and have gone through USA schools. So recognize their residency, and let them be processed according to naturalization laws. If they can pass the rest of the requirements, including a civics test (that many current citizens can’t pass, thank you school systems), then they can stand proud as citizens.

Yes, yes, with the nation in a tailspin, nothing is m ore important, more pressing, than legalizing illegal border hoppers. That will solve all our problems.

Those two have just won re-election. They think they are rocks of Gibraltar.

As soon as the borders are 99% secure and immigration is reformed to welcome on a merit base process, then we can talk.

Middle ground for DACA.. make them, if they have NO illegal record of any kind. Grant them Legal residence status but NOT citizenship. There are plenty of people still in their home countries (Not here illegally) trying to go through the legal measures to immigrate to America. Why should people who are here illegally take precedence? Legal residence status should not include the largess of the federal government such as health care (allow them to purchase their own insurance) education (let them pay tuition) financial assistance or any kind. The taxpayers should not be expected to pay, via their taxes, for those who broke our laws ! Ok, I admit I am to the right of Attila the Hun!

Right now we are paying for healthcare and public education for 35 million illegals. At the price of healthcare and school, that's a lot of money.

I kept hearing the GOP was MAGA now and knew better. These Bush riff-raff GOP Party lovers are like roaches the foul up everything and you can’t get rid of them. Between these two and Dollar Bill Lee in Utah we will have open borders and amnesty for the world in six months.

I await the response from those with their nose up the butts of these American hating aholes to show up on FR and tell me how disloyal and that I am such a purist that it’s my obligation to vote for these sleaze bags or the Democrats will win, despite the fact they already have and will win from here on out with the new and improved voting systems.

Wonder if we could start a recall for Cornyn in Texas; I would certainly sign it. Can you recall senators?

The middle ground would be to boot them back over the fence and let them know they can’t become citizens unless and until they start the process in the legal fashion, like everyone else. Just because we are nice people, we will not bill them for their education and other freebies while here.
