If this is truly about “public health” as Newsom the Vile rasps out each time he issues a new soul-crushing/individual Liberty-destroying diktat, then why repeat what has failed every single time it has been imposed over the past nine months! No. It’s all about control ... of the need for a ego-driven maniac to show how “tough” he thinks he is.

I agree with you that this “shutdown” will not work...
I think people, in CA, will continue getting infected no matter what the Governor does...Mandatory mask order has been in place for several months...I am not so sure that mandatory mask idea is working so well...

I do agree that Newsom wants to show how “tough” he is...

It seems the Democrats have come to understand the way China runs its "communist economy" quite nicely...and, that is, businesses can be privately owned but they are controlled by the Party.

You just described the economic side of Fascism.

This including gun shops? ‘cause I’ve got little confidence in that Sheriff having much respect for the constitution.

Sheriff is a Democrat...He is not some conservative.

However, I am still glad to hear that he is unwilling to harass business owners because of Newsom’s orders...

I guess Newsom might have to rely on CA Highway Patrol to enforce his orders...He does appoint the commissioner for CHP...

The LA county board (AKA as BLM) wants to remove the elected sheriff (a Mexican) and appoint a BLM lackey.

The sheriff was on John and Ken radio show to talk about that issue...

He said that only voters could remove him from office in an election...He dismissed the idea of County Supervisors removing him from office...

Someone remind me about how many ‘patients’ were treated on the US Navy hospital ship Trump sent to San Francisco this spring/early summer.

Someone also remind me about all the ‘field hospitals’ that were set up & torn down allover the country in 2020.

I see signs at the Sepulvada dam park near 101 & 405 freeway near Los Angeles to wear a mask and stay 6ft apart.... Outdoors!!

I see most do not but do see stupid people who do along with forcing their kids. The worse is seeing them on their bikes.
No sense what so ever as if you can breath in and out air you can get a virus or 99.97 % no virus at all.

I saw about 10 people sitting on the grass about six feet apart in a circle wearing a mask. It looked so stupid.
