I support your right to make your own decisions about what is best for your own health and safety, even if I disagree with the decision you’re making in this case. I wish you and yours nothing but health and happiness and I would encourage you to continue looking at these vaccines as an option for later, even if you decide against it for now. These are the tools that enable us to return to normal life and we need around 70-80% of the people in this country to take the vaccine to kill off COVID-19 and get rid of the masks, the social distancing, and the lockdowns.

Just how does a vaccine for last years cold have the power to stop the Unconstitutional over reach of Government jackasses playing doctor on TV?
Because of the scientifically proven risk of this type of vaccine causing an immune over reaction to the stimulus of another varient of Covid, while not being able to stop it?
This virus kills with an immune over reaction in the lungs. This is like fighting a brush fire by starting a forest fire.

Or, you could just take 200 to 5000 units of vitamin d3 a day for the same statistical immunity.

No virus in world history in thousands of years ever has done as much world wide damage to civilization as the mask up and self isolate foolishness of 2020.
I'm not anti-vax by any stretch. I fully understand how "normal" vaccines work, and I agree with you that we very much desire to get back to normalcy, and away from lockdowns, masks and all the other restrictions currently imposed.
That said, we don't know how these vaccines will work long-term. We also don't know what it will take, or what else we might be asked to trade off to resume a normal lifestyle again. Leftists have already let the proverbial cat out of the bag--they want to use COVID-19 to initiate all kinds of programs and restrictions on life as we know it. You've heard people talk about "resets" and NOT "returning to normal." You think that was coincidental?

What you say sounds real good. But, when will they unleash the next virus? The covid vaccine won’t be worth diddly. The intention is to keep people behind masks, separated by distance, lonely, needy and depending on a tyrannical government to tell them what to do.
Perhaps they could make a vaccine for the common cold too.
