WASHINGTON (WWNY) - President-elect Joe Biden’s short-list to run his Pentagon includes a former 10th Mountain Division commander. CNN reports that retired Gen. Lloyd Austin is one of several people in line for the job.
Austin was commanding general at Fort Drum from 2003 to 2005. He went on to be Army Chief of Staff as well as the head of U.S. Central Command.
His appointment would be historic. Austin would be the first Black person to run the Department of Defense.

He commanded US Forces in Iraq when Obama/Biden had us pull out, and throw Iraq to the wolves.
Later as CENTCOM Commanding General under Obama, he oversaw ISIS running wild, conquering large swathes of Iraq and Syria.

There was a huge turnaround in favor of the USA, when GEN Joe Votel took over CENTCOM from GEN Lloyd Austin.
When he was a four-star he was whacked on his pee pee for abusing his privileges using Air Force aircraft to fly himself and his wife to posh resorts that had very slim justification for official business. He’ll fit right in with the rest of the Biden Administration.
