Just As We Feared – California's Economic Refugees Ruined Arizona in the 2020 Election

Who can blame Californians and Washingtonians for wanting to breathe free, sun-saturated and dusty air in Arizona? We can, actually. People fleeing those states as well a handful of others appear to be responsible for Arizona’s turn to Leftism in the 2020 General Election.

The Seattle Times reports that the ‘fugees from California, Washington, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Minnesota, Nevada, Florida, and Utah, in that order, fled to the state with Cactus League baseball, more conservative politics, the Grand Canyon, and the Red Rocks of Sedona. And then they approved legal pot, the state’s highest tax increase ever, and put Democrats in the highest offices – the Senate and White House – to ensure their new home will be every bit as expensive and over-regulated as the one from which they fled. Toke up, ‘Zonies!

Arizona is one of the nation’s fastest-growing states in recent years, drawing newcomers with its strong economy in the Phoenix area, affordable housing and year-round sunshine. About a quarter-million people relocate there each year from other parts of the U.S. — and no state sends more people to Arizona than California, where the cost-of-living can be prohibitive even for college-educated professionals.

I looked at census data on state-to-state migration and found that since the 2016 election — from 2017 to 2019 — about 150,000 Californians who are eligible to vote (U.S. citizens, age 18 and older) moved to Arizona. While the data doesn’t tell us anything about the political affiliations of the those movers, California is, of course, one of the bluest states.

Arizona is one of the more affordable states, but since its population has increased an astonishing 16% since 2010, mostly people from California

No, just cheating. The media is extending their propaganda machine. I am about to check out and I mean it.

They always bring their politics.

We have economic refugees from South Florida down the street from me. They still have their South Florida politics with them. The wife is a full-blown communist and the Husband is confused about the gay daughter sex (he thinks she is a man stuck in a female body).

He was highly offended when I inform him no, your daughter is just gay. Needless to say, he does not visit me anymore.

“Like cockroaches........................”

They are, I hate them. I hate their smug attitude. I hate their lack of curiosity about the things they think they know. I hate their false sense of superiority.

They are a curse on this nation.

Maybe the AZ DMV should hand out warnings when people move from CA. Something like, “You’re fleeing the results of your politics so don’t ruin AZ too.”

Now, about that wall. They’ve done the same to Washoe county NV as well. Clark county was already firmly in the blue because of the unions and still ruled the rest of the state due to population. That is why I propose that whichever candidate wins the most counties across the country wins the contest. Or acreage or sq miles.....................

“smug attitude.”

Great description. All of them are like that I have talked to. They will refer to neighbors as country bumpkins in a very negative way.

It is a shame that people fleeing socialist utopias can’t connect the dots between how they voted and why they fled. A mandatory waiting period for voting, let’s say 10 days, might be reasonable. Which is to say, 10 *election days*. Failing that, getting control of the schools, and ceasing the teaching of socialism as an idyllic solution to all the world’s problems would be a good next step. Also, wresting the narrative from the gaslight media would also be a good thing. Failing that, a Marxist utopia seems like the next step, and some are already talking about the gulags, in between mentions of “healing” and other BS.

There should be an 8 year waiting period before out of staters are eligible to vote.
Otherwise, the swarms of LOCUSTS simply move from ruined areas to fertile ground.

This is cover for the fraud Katie Hobbs, Raúl Grijalva and the Democrats perpetrated on Arizonans.

Yeah, there are lots of Californians coming to Az but they are roughly equally split between Democrat and Republican - maybe even more Republicans than Democrats trying to escape the California asylum.

Not really. Voter Fraud Matters

One very simple fact from Bobby Piton’s data analysis of the Arizona election was this - the state’s population has been growing at 1% a year. But since elections of 2008, the number of “voters” participating has been growing at 7% per year.

Over 12+ years, that doubles the number of voters, such that some counties are now showing nearly 100% turnout.

Possible? Likely?

The situation is pretty much the same with (mm)uslims, they migrate in hopes for a better life and once they get there they revert right back to the same crap including their religion and the same cycle repeats itself. Sooner or later something will have to happen in order to give mankind a jolt or wakeup call to leave some of that destructive behavior behind and catch up with our technological advancements which are way ahead of our sociological progress.
