Most Republicans are there simply to protect business interests. As long as the Dems go along with carve-outs, tax breaks and subsidies for them, the Pubs are happy to go along with a Dem one-party state.

Some others just seem constitutively incapable of realizing that this is not a normal political squabble between factions, but a war with a political party that is actually a vast organized crime syndicate. They simply can't face reality, because the consequences are too dire, so they just stare at the onviousness of the fraud like a deer in the headlights.

That’s what 99% of people get into politics for. Give and receive favors, get power, get money. If they can make it all the way to fedgov, they can become multi-millionaires but even on a local level, it’s a “You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” kind of thing.

Trump is different. A reluctant politician who wants to fix things and make it better for all of us. Best economy and lowest unemployment ever but the pols don’t care if the little people have jobs.
