In order to grasp the magnitude of Fox News’ betrayal of its conservative base, I decided to look back at their ratings in August of 2020 and compare the results with its current viewership as of November 23, 2020. The numbers are devastating and telling. Fox has lost about 50% of its audience. You Trump loyalists are making them pay where it hurts–the pocketbook.
Let me break it down by show:
Neil Cavuto drew 2.192 million viewers in August. By November he was attracting only 1.3 million. The Five also suffered a big loss, going from 3.772 million in August to 2.883 million in November–minus 889,000 viewers. Bret Baier suffered a significant decline of 1,139,000 –3.256 million in August to 2.117 million in November. Martha MacCallum fared worse—she shed 50% of her audience, collapsing from 3.201 million to 1.613 million. Tucker Carlson also has taken a big hit–dropping from 5.719 million in August to 3.444 million in November. That is a drop of 2.275 million. Sean Hannity’s shining star is flaming out. His viewership plummeted from 6.838 million to 2.839 million. That means almost 4 million people fled his show. And Laura Ingraham bled out–she dropped from 4.82 million to 2.114. She lost 2.706 viewers. These are consequential numbers. Fox has committed media suicide.

Paul Ryan and Lachlan Murdoch are going to be spending Christmas deciding who to cut in the January layoffs in advance of Fox Corp’s February’s earnings release.
That’s why the Fox “talent” is going nutso right now. They’re trying to save their jobs but it will be tough when half their ad revenue disappears and they have to carryout that projection through Sept 2021.
Tucker, Sean and Laura are strong, loyal conservative voices being shut down in the boycott. Other strong conservatives such as Maria Bartirona, Levin, Jeanine, and Fox and Friends have taken big hits. How do we keep those important voices heard???
Personally, I continue to watch them, but nothing else on FNC.
All of my family and friends watched Fox for years. Now every one of them have cut them off. The obvious hate for Trump, months back, became too obvious for us to take. Now let the advertising revenue dry up.
Laura could have been THE star of these extraordinary events but for some reason she decided to be one of many people reporting/commenting about what the daily “feelings” were about thse events.
If anyone has the chops to speak authoritatively about the constitutional process including original intent via the Federalist Papers, it is Laura. She clerked for Thomas...
If Trump can get to SCOTUS Thomas is the one absolute vote to teject this coup attempt. Instead Laura talks about “conceding”. Nice try...
Blathering, metro talkers are not "important."
If they were such magnificent patriots they wouldn't be putting their careers and contracts first by aiding and assisting those trying to ruin us.
No one seems to understand.
Viewers are not the customers.
To clarify: Did Pravda ever concern itself with ratings? Did TASS?
#21 I do not trust the reverse mortgage spiel.
Anyone who doesn’t see that there was massive fraud is a liar and needs to be rejected as such.
“IOW, weren’t the August ratings for the height of the political campaign season, while the November ratings are post campaigns? Rightfully, drops in ratings or viewer numbers always go down once the major event(s) are over.”
I don’t buy the ridiculous leftist agi-prop that the numbers dropped “once the major events are over.”
If a president challenging the vote count and hinting at treason isn’t a “major event,” than I don’t know what a “major event” is.
I don’t think that he’s stupid. OTOH, he’s not the smartest of the talk show hosts out there - Rush, Prager and Gorka are definitely sharper. Hannity’s big problem is that he’s too repetitive, too formulaic. I think that he’s got the intellectual horsepower to do better, but is probably too busy to do so. Perhaps he needs extra staff - doing 4 hours a day on the air requires a LOT of preparation; even Rush only does 3.
“We report - you decide”. Yeah okay, we decided to leave
I don’t like it financially — and wouldn’t ever do it because I don’t need the money — and it surprises me that so many people do. My financial advisor says it’s far more common than most would believe, for those who didn’t plan far enough ahead.
It just surprised me that Tom would be that spokesman. I know him, from back in 1985, when I was an extra on “Little Girl Who” episode, on “Magnum, PI”, and an extra on “Jesse Stone: No Remorse”, in 2010.
I am curious about what you don’t trust about it. Not trying to pick a fight or anything, but it just seems like an annuity based on a % of your home’s value. Certainly not a route I would take...but what would your concerns be?
It’s rather pathetic doing those reverse mortgage commercials. I probably have about .001 of his net worth and I’d be too proud to take the payments he’s getting for those.
He does have a certain aura and credibility, and as my FA said that it’ss far more common than most would believe.

It is when a celeb is endorsing.
The acting he does looking so concerned.
That’s hilarious. My wife and I talk about that every time we see that commercial.
LOL! Bump!
Ditching Fox news was easier than I thought. The longer I stay away, the less I miss it.
