A surge in coronavirus cases will put San Francisco under a curfew beginning on Monday and trigger other restrictions related to the virus, the city announced.

The curfew requires non-essential businesses to close and prohibits members of different households from gathering between 10pm and 5am until December 21, Mayor London Breed said Saturday.

San Mateo county outside San Francisco will also be subject to the same rules after the state of California classified both under its most restrictive tier of locations based on the spread of the virus.

The 49ers don’t play in San Francisco. They relocated years ago.

Santa Clara County just tightened its restrictions to include:

“A new mandatory directive on travel will require people to quarantine for 14 days upon return to the County from travel of more than 150 miles. Healthcare workers and patients traveling to provide or receive care are exempted.”

If you take a vacation week off to go somewhere, this must mean you can’t go to work for 14 days upon your return! That’s wild.

From the article:

“Another restriction in the region will prevent the San Francisco 49ers from holding practices and playing games in Santa Clara for the next few weeks.”

Get this - this is what they said. The three QB's were removed because they were physically close to someone that tested positive and they (the 3 QB's) were not wearing a mask.

This whole time they've been saying that the mask is to protect others, not you. So why worry?

The three have not tested positive, so why remove them?

This has gotten totally ridiculous.

Americans are becoming serfs bonded to the land. "A manorial Lord could not sell his serfs like Romans sold slaves. If his Lord sold some land, the serf of that land went with it to serve the new Lord. A serf could not leave his lands without permission. A serf could not sell his lands." https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serfdom

Yes. I’ve not been following football very closely, but, a kid (they are kids to me!), one Kendall Hinton, a receiver brought up from the practice squad, will QB. He was a QB in high school and some in college, but has never played at all in a NFL game.

My understanding is that one of the QB’s tested positive, but now all 3 have tested negative. There seems to be some confusion in the media regarding the latter.

The Raiders decision to ditch California and move to Las Vegas is looking like a very smart move.

As usual, no discussion of how many of the “surge” cases involve serious symptoms. Purposely designed to keep people from asking whether the prevention is worse than the disease.

COVID-19 cases are not soaring. The peak at this time was Nov. 20 at 204,163 (US) and Nov. 23 at 17,893 (CA).

San Francisco is not particularly hard hit. There were 221 cases reported yesterday in San Francisco, population 883,205 (2018), 275/MM/day. For California as a whole it was 281/MM. For the US as a whole it was 143,373/331.8MM = 432/MM. Therefore San Francisco is less than 2/3 the national rate (275/432 = 0.64)

All according to plan. Use covid lockdowns to destroy our economy - the World Economic Forum/UN “Great Reset.” It’s the new name for the New World Order (aka global government.)

Levi Stadium was effectively annexed by San Francisco and Santa Clara has very little control over it. A similar arrangement has the SF airport effectively annexed to SF even though it’s in San Mateo county.
