Earlier, China stopped or reduced imports of beef, coal, barley, seafood, sugar and timber from Australia after it supported calls for a probe into the origin of the coronavirus pandemic, which began in China in December.

And no loss for China. I suppose some other food-producing nation will step in an fill the void.

I am sure they do need the food.

However, if it is deemed more important to the ChiCom government the people die of starvation for some political reason, then the food is secondary and the people will starve.

As simple as that.

My brother and I had the conversation last night: Pets vs Food.

In China (and many other places) when times are good, people are Pets. When times are bad, they become food.

And in Communist China, the party determines when times are good or bad.
