Cuomo tried to play the court by changing the restriction before the ruling and then claiming the case was moot since the restrictions were changed. This is what he meant by saying the ruling was irreverent.

However, I believe the court noted that since he quickly changed the restriction before the ruling he could just as quickly put them back in place if the court had not ruled they were too restrictive.

Cuomo is doing what all Democrats do, trying to game the system to do what ever they want regardless of what the voters (or in this case, the courts) want.

NY tried the same thing and won with gun restrictions but that was with RBG. We need to start a campaign along the lines of “What is Roberts Guilty of?”.

Actually that stunt worked great for NY early this year when a gun control case was about to be overturned by the Supreme Court. In that case, they pulled there was no law (since they changed it a week earlier), and that was good enough for Roberts to deny cert. Not so lucky this time.
