The Trump administration is rushing to make a number of federal regulatory changes before President-elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20, ProPublica reported on Wednesday. One of those changes, proposed by the Department of Justice, would allow some federal death-row inmates to be executed by means other than lethal injection. Many states allow for electrocution or a firing squad if lethal injection is not available or if another method is preferred by the prisoner.

Actually public stoning was the normative Biblical form of capital punishment,versus antiseptic executions by the state. The former corresponds to crime being against the community in general, and serves as a deterring reminder to all of the cost of such.

Firing squad sounds good for election fraud. Treason and attempted coups should be slower and more painful. Cruel and unusual would be fine by me.
Transfer the perp to the nearby veterinarian, and thereafter bulk cremate.

Lethal injection is the worst thing they ever did. There has been so many botched executions that lead to it taking hours for the inmate to die. Gassing also is a problem because it requires the condemned to comply, if they resist it can take up to 20 minutes.
Hanging and shooting worked just fine for so long. Even electrocution is less of a mess.

Actually, a doctor studied decapitations, during the French Revolution, and the heads remain alive and conscious for a few seconds.
