I am confident that the Left (Biden being truly irrelevant) looks at what Netanyahu did prematurely (he could have waited six weeks if for no other reason than out of respect for Trump ... a true friend to Israel and Netanyahu damn well knows that, too!) as kowtowing (if “sucking up” is too direct a term to use.) I have to agree with glennaro straight up on this one. Trump congratulated Bebe for 'winning' 3 razor-close Israeli elections in less than a freaking year:
The reality of it was, Bebe didn't win any of those elections outright and could not conjure a majority coalition -- thus all the revotes.But that didn't keep Trump from praising Bebe's 'winning attitude, longest ruler of Israel, steady hand on the tiller' and all the rot.
It was crass and classless for Bebe to jump in Biden's lap. Bebe came off as a pisher, a schnorrer. Cheap. Not unlike the way he has treated 3 wives to date.
The Israeli obsession with 'what have you done for me lately', 'lately' is officially down to 24 hours and contracting quickly.
I don't care for that at all. All this 'peace' breaking out in the ME with diplomatic recognition of Israel is a result of Trump breaking the Arab monopoly on hydrocarbon and nothing else.
Did Bebe show a cogent moment of gratitude to Trump's extended friendship when it mattered and wait for "the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December"?
