Democrats Must Regret Messing with Texas

One of the elusive goals of our corrupt intellectual culture is to turn Texas blue. Among the 4 most populous states, California, Texas, Florida, and New York, Texas is an exceptional electoral prize and one which, if turned to blue politics, would spell the end of Republican victories at the national level.

The 2018 senatorial run of Beto O’Rourke was a key insurgency toward that goal and $70 million dollars was spent compared to less than half of that for the incumbent Senator Ted Cruz. O’Rourke lost the election despite sizable gains in Congress for the Democrats broadly that fall. Many of the highly and deliberately deceptive polls painted Texas 2020 as once again in play. The latest effort to mess with Texas failed dramatically -- again.

Texas was won by Republican Presidential incumbent Donald Trump by 52% to 46%. Trump won by more than 600,000 votes among almost 12 million votes cast. Democrats spent incredible sums of money trying to turn the state legislative chambers of Texas blue and failed miserably. Democrats targeted 22 races in hopes of turning at least nine to their side and flipping the chamber. They got zero. Wendy Davis also lost her congressional race despite being the Democrat standard bearer at one time for the governor’s race.

The most shocking Democrat loss was Zapata County — just north of the Rio Grande Valley along the border — by 6 points, 53% Trump to 47% for Biden. The county is 94% Hispanic. The last two presidential elections there were Clinton +33 and Obama +43. It is difficult to convey the dimensions of shock inflicted on the Democrats by this loss. This is a border county that epitomizes one of the most important slanders maintained by our intellectual culture against President Trump: President Trump hates Mexicans.

What in God's name was Penlosi thinking when she planned this pose? That middle
America would embrace these creeps and sap-happily vote every Democrat into office?

Now's the time to keep on reminding Democrats what Nanzi has wrought and the havoc and destruction she, herself, visited on their party.

The Rolling Stone image is a great reminder of Nanzi's stupidity. It needs to bite back bigtime.

We need to keep this image alive; blanket the media particularly in Democrat areas, with Nanzi's stupidity.

AND THIS In the wake of Antifa riots and out of control crime in many urban areas this year, voters reject "The Squad" and want law and order, even in liberal areas.

CASE IN POINT New York had to scale back criminal justice reforms enacted in 2019; state legislators had passed a measure that eliminated all forms of cash bail for non-violent offenders and forced prosecutors to turn over all evidence within two weeks of arrest. The result was predictable .....repeat offenders released into the community committed even more horrific crimes.

I think one of the things the Dems have to do is make a play, probably through their packed federal courts, to take over elections from Texas, since they’re unable to do that from the inside, at least so far.

And the problem the Dems will have with that is that Texas, if it is red, will only tolerate a certain amount of crap from DC before it declares a vote on Texit, and likely pulls some other states with it.

Now a lot of people on our side will think that the Dems would be happy with Texas gone, and if you do think that, you’re wrong. The Dems don’t want to rule a country of political dingbats as in CA and NY, etc., they want to PUNISH CONSERVATIVES, particularly those in gun-loving Texas - and that can’t happen with an independent Texas. And, if you don’t agree with me, I feel sorry for you...you need to learn more about today’s Democrats, they’re not the JFK or FDR types anymore, they’re Stalinists, just waiting for enough power to act that way.

Every 10 years, after the census, congressional and state legislature districts are redrawn to account for population changes. This gives whoever is drawing the maps the power to maximize the number of districts that favor their party — a tactic known as gerrymandering. And as we wrote last month, the 2020 election represented the last chance for voters to weigh in on who would draw those maps.

Both parties went into the election with a chance to draw more congressional districts than the other, but the end result was just about the best-case scenario for Republicans. As the map below shows, Republicans are set to control the redistricting of 188 congressional seats — or 43 percent of the entire House of Representatives. By contrast, Democrats will control the redistricting of, at most, 73 seats, or 17 percent.

CIRCA 2019 Ex-President Barack Obama announced a new initiative that will help volunteers influence redistricting efforts in states across the country. "Redistricting U," an extension of his "All On The Line" campaign, will send trainers to provide free training and tools to volunteers about their state redistricting process, gather feedback on ways to improve their communities and teach them how to be leaders in the fair map movement, according to the initiative's website.

All On The Line, launched earlier this year, is a combination of "Obama's Organizing For Action" and former Attorney General "Eric Holder's National Redistricting Action Fund."

Obama said he has always believed "training is at the heart of organizing." "It's why I made it a priority in my 2008 campaign and throughout our larger movement for change in the years since," Obama said in a statement on the group's website.

He added, "The movement for fair maps will determine the course of progress on every issue we care about for the next decade. And we can't wait to begin organizing when the redistricting process starts in 2021. We need to build this movement from the ground up -- right now."

This is the latest effort by Obama to push for voting reform and fight against gerrymandering. The Obamas have long pushed for increased voter participation and fought against partisan gerrymandering.
