By taking a pardon, Flynn is basically admitting guilt. There is no way an appeal or the SCOTUS would let this stand.

Particularly given that Flynn's attorney is quite busy with one or more cases with major national security implications. Those cases, incidentally are much more important than sparring with an egocentric, politically motivated federal judge.
