You both read this carefully: this COVID nonsense is being used to put a significant part of the country under MARTIAL LAW. We are seeing lockdowns, curfews, mask mandates, travel restrictions and other things we NEVER thought we’d see in the USA.
Meanwhile, even the admitted death and serious illness rates are on par with the flu, which, given the hysteria and misinformation surrounding this “pandemic”, probably means that the actual rates are less than a seasonal flu. Yet we are to burn the Constitution and submit like slaves because of this?
Ordinary people have seen with their own eyes and provided video evidence that a lot of these “overwhelmed” hospitals are actually empty or at minimal use.
You want to hop on FR and make a bunch of claims that you’re seeing masses of COVID patients? Fine. Name a hospital. Let us verify this with our own eyes.
Otherwise, we have to assume that you’re either innocent people caught up in the hysteria, or active shills for the disinformation effort.
This isn’t a game, or just a political debate. This is LITERALLY our country and our freedom at stake. So no whining about your feelings.
They are real covid patients and the surge exists. The hospitals in my region. are full and using makeshift ICUs in other areas of the hospital not usually used for that purpose
Your reading comprehension is on par with your medical knowledge. I said I am not a fan of masking orders or lockdowns. Neither am I stupid nor a shill. Now you go piss off.
Thanks for clarification MD.Can’t question the efficacy of testing. There’s been a spike here also. I’m hoping the government doesn’t lock us down and make us wear masks everywhere like the last nine months for another year but I suppose it’s inevitable. Immune systems start messing up without proper care and exercise and cheap food due to sedentary prison life.
Unfortunately the government tends to double down on stupid. it’s what they do
We have makeshift ICU’s here as well. It is part of the system ICU capacity. No big deal. Last I checked, we were at 15% covid.
People will continue getting ill until there aren’t enough uninfected/unvaccinated people to spread it. All the masks and lockdowns in the world won’t stop it. That is how it was always going to go.
He refused to listen to the right scientists. Therefore, he was dangerous and had to be stopped./s
Great stuff thank you for posting this.
Does this surge not coincide with the seasonal flu?
It’s a bit early fir flu season but we are getting there. Haven’t seen much flu yet
Sorry MD but Fr_freak nailed 1000%
really. martial law. i have not seen the military in the streets have you? How many hospitals do you work in? I was up all night last night treating covid patients. If you want to buy into over the top hysteria based on false information go right ahead. It does our side no service and gives credence to those who would lock us down. Have a nice evening
There must be bodies everywhere.
Everyone’s life is a F’d up mess right now. Like the restaurant owner in Long Beach who spent $400,000 redoing his bar and now can’t use it because the county shut him down.
You’re in Colorado, is that right? As of November 10 there were 1,000 COVID patients in intensive care in Colorado, who occupied 82% of ICU beds. There are 5.75 million people in Colorado. That’s one bed for every 5,750 people if my math is right.
In California there are 7,881 ICU beds for 39.5 million people. That’s one for every 4,555 people. Maybe Colorado doesn’t have enough ICU beds. Maybe every state should have more.
thanks for the link, we used to call it colds and flu, now it’s COVID19
maybe. Hard to know. But the surge is real and it is stressing the health care system at this point.
and remember you are counting physical beds. For a bed to be available it also has to have a nurse available to treat the patient. Staffing is often a bigger challenge
Have you ever seen the system stressed by other things, like say by a bad flu season including complications such as pneumonia etc? Or is it unprecedented for the system to be stressed and for staffing to be an issue?
