Dr. Anthony Fauci on Monday called on New York and other states to accept a COVID-19 vaccine once it’s approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said he “doesn’t agree” that it’s necessary for Gov. Andrew Cuomo and other state leaders to conduct their own in-house review process before distributing a vaccine.
“Hopefully I can appeal to them to say that yes, you can look at the data, everybody should be looking at the data — there’s nothing wrong with that — but trust the process because it’s a sound process,” Fauci told the Washington Post.
Fauci said although he “doesn’t fault them for wondering what’s going on,” he fears the states’ own reviews could slow the process of rolling out the vaccine to their residents.

This may be the only case where I support Cuomo. Even if he is doing it for the wrong reasons.
Pretty soon it will either be mandatory or else you won’t be able to do anything with proof of having taken the vaccine. And they plan to track everyone they give it to as well.
What a slippery slope this vaccine thing is going to be. Kind of like having to receive the mark of the beast.

I know older people in NYS who want their choice to get the vaccine. Big Government Cuomo preventing that is the antithesis of a inalienable right to choose the vaccine.
Cuomo is wrong and tragically so.
Sounds like he’s getting in the way of a shakedown racket. Better watch out or the Italians from New York are going to be leaving a horse head on his bed.

Actually government denying somebody the right to take a medication or vaccine is just as bad as government forcing somebody to take a medication or vaccine. They are two sides of the same Big Government coin.
