AMID DELAYED AND inconsistent results of the vaunted Iowa Caucuses, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez on Thursday made a stunning call for a recount of the entire state.
''Enough is enough,'' Perez said on Twitter. ''In light of the problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results, I am calling on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a recanvass.''
The astonishing public plea came after days of confusion and complaints from Iowa, the site of the Democrats' first nominating contest Monday night. The final prize is small – 41 delegates to be apportioned to leaders in Iowa's convoluted caucuses system – but a win or strong showing in Iowa can provide momentum to candidates as they head to campaign in New Hampshire, which holds its primary Tuesday.
In a statement later Thursday, Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Troy Price said if any campaign requests a recanvass under the rules – which state a deadline of noon Friday for doing so – the party ‘’is prepared’’ to do it.
"We owe it to the thousands of Iowa Democratic volunteers and caucusgoers to remain focused on collecting and reviewing incoming results," Price said, noting that the party has been correcting errors as they identify them. ‘’This is an ongoing process in close coordination with precinct chairs, and we are working diligently to report the final 54 precincts to get as close to final reporting as possible."

The app company that messed this up is Shadow, Inc., which changed its name to BlueLink...I wonder what connection is may have to Dominion.
yep, remember in Iowa, when those high tech Democrats were flummoxed by an app that was supposed to make it so easy to tally the votes?
I think we should go back to paper ballots, and not even use computers to count votes.
Paper ballots take longer to count, I’m sure. But, we see so many long delays with computerized systems, what good are they? And then layer on top the opportunities for cheating, automated election systems are useless.
Computer technology is great for many purposes, but not for elections.
Maybe Iowa was a test run.
Is the Iowa caucus where they screwed Bernie with that fake coin flip?
Recounts for me but not for thee.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Democrat.
“Computer technology is great for many purposes, but not for elections.”
I guess how you feel about that depends on what it is you’re trying to accomplish by using them in elections ?
Bill Gates still seems to think they’re all and only a really good idea ?
Iowa was the DNC’s rehearsal.
Hanging chads happen.
Better yet machines that take photo, signature, thumb print, and spits out copy of your vote. Anything wrong file a complaint ON SPOT IN LOUD VOICE.
