The A-10 is useless except in undefended airspace, or in a situation where its life expectancy is measured in hours, as it would have been against Warsaw Pact forces in an all-out war in the 1980’s. The B-52 can launch 20 cruise missiles against targets as far as 600 miles away. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-158_JASSM#AGM-158B_JASSM-ER Another way of putting this is that it can target any point in Iran from outside Iranian airspace.
