I think more likely it is because Trump was persuaded not to go up against the CIA.
There may be some negotiations taking place
CIA can’t have it officially get out that they rig elections. Mitch doesn’t want it out because GOP has probably done it too
Might be some wheeling and dealing going on...go quietly and...
or perhaps if you dont go quietly XYZ will happen.....
but whatever the case, do your fight for the american public and then hit the road...no disclosure of CIA rigging elections
