I don’t know enough. But since Israel is an ally, Pollard has served his sentence for his crime.

Wikipedia: Jonathan Pollard

"Former FBI and U.S. Navy lawyer M.E. "Spike" Bowman, a top legal adviser to navy intelligence at the time of Pollard's arrest who had intimate knowledge of the Pollard case, issued a detailed critique in 2011 of the case for clemency. "Because the case never went to trial, it is difficult for outside observers to understand the potential impact and complexity of the Pollard betrayal," he wrote. "There is no doubt that Pollard was devoted to Israel. However, the extent of the theft and the damage was far broader and more complex than evidenced by the single charge and sentence." In his estimation, Pollard "was neither a U.S. nor an Israeli patriot. He was a self-serving, gluttonous character seeking financial reward and personal gratification."

Pollard did not only spy for Israel. He spied for anyone that would pay him and for his own personal business interests.

(P.S. - Spying for allies still spying)

allowing his move to Israel

His US passport should be revoked, he should no longer be an American citizen.

I’m a first generation American and I could never imagine betraying my country under any circumstance. It’s a shame that traitors like Pollard are not sentenced to death for their treachery.

He should have been executed.

Treason, even on behalf of an ally, is still treason.

If we had wanted them to know what he had given them we would have done so ourselves.

Pollard is a self-serving disgrace, he’ll be a self-serving disgrace in Israel. My only hope is that this was part of peace negotiations with Israel and it wasn’t just Trump being snookered.

30 years is a decent sentence. What disgusts me is how many so called “American citizens” on this very forum kept posting over the last 20+ years about how he should be released. They know who they are. He was a traitor and deserved his time in prison.
