Lots of studies were don before the China virus existed. Pretty much all said the same thing: No good against viruses and almost no good against bacteria. Hospitals used fitted masks used with gloves and gowns and protocols for changing when dealing with high risk patients. But just a surgical mask? And a REUSABLE surgical mask? Or a bandana? Worse than worthless.
No idea why we needed to throw out 50 years of studies and experience other than to allow politicians to give false confidence to the ignorant. They needed to be seen “doing something” to please their voters. And now 100+ million are emotionally invested in masks. Last night, I read a thread on a forum dedicated to horse riding. A whole bunch of fussy, anal women who were certain everyone at a boarding place for horses were going to die because a mother and daughter were seen saddling a horse - and they weren’t wearing masks!
I wanted to ask if the horse was wearing a mask but there comes a point where insanity has taken over and all you can do is step back and watch the frantic stupidity swirling around like a tornado. Hurricane strength mass stupidity. Best to evacuate. You won’t beat the storm.

Way back in Jan of last year I said the same thing.
In fact there used to be the report/study from the 1918 pandemic that said as much too. Good luck finding it now!
