Monica Palmer and William Hartmann, the two Republicans on the four-member board of canvassers, originally offered no explanation for why they changed course, but abruptly did Tuesday evening hours after voting against certification of the results.
By Wednesday night, Palmer and Hartmann had signed onto affidavits alleging that they had been pressured to certify the results under a false promise that Democrats would agree to an audit in Detriot, according to the Washington Post, which has reviewed the documents.

Michigan is a DEEP red state without Wayne County (Detroit). The only other populous blue areas are Ann Arbor, Flint, and Oakland County. They don’t come anywhere close to carrying the state for the enemy.

From the mathematical graphing I have seen, your thought is exactly how the cheat was done. The more red the district the more votes stripped from Trump and given to biden.
I agree with you. The fraud was multifaceted, making it hard to pin down. It started with the same old same old - Dems voting the dead, ballot harvesting, etc. - but the ace in the hole was always the computerized tabulation system. And when they knew they needed it, they threw the switch and set it in motion.
That said, there must have been other coordination. Things such as the refusal to let GOP poll watchers monitor certain areas and the sudden, coordinated shut downs of the manual counting certainly indicate that they had a plan. It must have been known, although not necessarily in the details, to whatever Dem operatives were issuing the orders to state and county Dem election authorities.

The question then becomes whether having certified the vote they can then change their mind. And even if they do, can’t the state election canvasing board still certify the results without them?

I had originally heard it while flipping radio stations and Googled it when I got home. That initial search turned up several references to Nessel, but (strangely enough) I can’t find them today.
I’m pretty sure I bookmarked a thread specifically quoting her on this site. I’m trying to find that quote, but I’ve got hundreds of bookmarks on the election I’m trying to sort through.
In the meantime, here’s a link that makes reference to “legal threats” (criminal) from various democrat characters.

Yeah - that was the #DetroitLeaks video. It’s still floating around the Internet, but BigTech has been aggressively censoring it. If it was authentic, it was a pretty damning recording of a training session for election workers (I think it was for Detroit precincts).
The “instructor” went through a laundry list of how to handle Republican observers, how to handle questionable ballots and objections. Worth a listen if anybody’s curious. Sounded legit to me, but who knows.
She didn’t deny the authenticity of the recording, only that he had 2 specific inaccuracies and some general facts taken “out of context”. She threatened criminal actions if the content and all links/references weren’t removed.
