This release may be warranted but I don't see how it can be successful. Any vaccine that has to be distributed and held at -70 degrees (YES, SEVENTY BELOW ZERO) sounds like an failure all along its line of delivery.

It sure isn’t dispensed at -70.
This just indicates that in order to have a decent shelf life, it needs to be temp controlled.
Sometimes pop-in thoughts that appear to be common sense....aren’t.

Iowa medical society mass e-mailing says Iowa Department of Public Health has already approved over 1000 vaccine provider agreements, including all local public health agencies, 83 hospitals, 260 long-term care facilities, 192 pharmacies and many independent physician clinics And identified 29 locations statewide for that needed ultra-cold storage. Does sound like the logistics planning has been well done.
