FR is priceless, even with the occasional glitch.

* * *

Ha, Ha!  Glitch, the word of the hour.

Ironically, the wisdom of choosing a "lesser technology" may have saved FR — and that choice may yet save America.

FR's founders chose to keep the earlier version of HTML.  There would be no Javascripts, pesky CSS styles, or embedded MP4s to invite security breaches, Deep State hacking, RAT trolls, and other mischief that would bring this forum to its knees.

This latest "deplatform" attempt to take Conservative Treehouse and Free Republic down was a last resort of frustrated enemies to silence the free speech of America's patriots.

Because they couldn't succeed in taking down FR technically, they hoped to outlaw FR, as it were, to permanently shut down the best free speech platform there is for fostering conservative thinking.

The Constitution is not just words penned on old parchment.  It's a set of laws and principles that live in the hearts and minds of its Free Citizens.

In a sense, Free Republic continues those smoky backroom discussions in Philadelphia as the Constitution was being crafted.  At times, furious arguments among the Founders had to be quelled and settled to move our Sacred, God-given Document forward.

And so the question before us today is the very survival of our American Republic.  "You have a Republic, if you can keep it!" (Uncle Ben).

Specifically, will we, a Free People, allow sedition — in the form of technology — to enslave us and transform our Great Nation into another Banana Republic?

No, we will keep our technology in check!  We will go back to old fashion paper ballots and poll watchdogs -- whatever it takes!  We the People will be technology's master — not some faceless bureaucrat or Rasputin-like tech CEO — especially when it comes to preserving our Sacred Elections and our Free Speech.

Fortunately we have a noble Ulysses at the helm who — with his valiant and loyal crew — will safely navigate us past the Sirens of Circe (Fake News) who are yelling into our ears to cause our Great Republic to crash against the Rocks.

I agree. However, it's like, ya know, like totally racist and stuff to say "Uncle Ben" because the crazy Democrat Party Cabal insanely and sadly "cancelled" Uncle Ben. You'd think it'd be considered an honor to have one's picture on such a hugely popular food product but what do I know. Cancelled!

I'm still sticking with my call a week ago that given President Trump's legal challenges (in state and district courts, possibly reaching the SCOTUS), the swing-states' Republican legislatures potentially picking elector slates, and all of this possibly ending up in Congress that would decide the Presidential election winner, there's a 25% chance President Trump gets another four years. Fingers crossed! After everything I've seen during the past week, I see no reason to change my (WAG) prediction but I'll update my prediction as major developments ensue.
