The layoffs alone - 9,367 workers, mostly NYC Transit subway and bus workers - would save the MTA $1.2 billion a year.

Wow.. 26 posts and no one notices that these bus drivers are making $130M a year equivalent? No wonder MTA wants a bailout!

They should be talking to the city, not trying to get a bailout from the US taxpayer! Hell, even the State shouldn't be bothering to give them free $$$!
