A South Dakota nurse says some of her COVID-19 patients still refuse to accept that the virus is “real” — even in their dying moments.
Jodi Doering, an emergency room nurse, said she’s seen gravely ill patients gasping for breath — but adamant that the pandemic doesn’t exist, CNN reported.
“Their last dying words are, ‘This can’t be happening. It’s not real,’” Doering said on CNN’s “New Day” on Monday.

SD has had 600 deaths statewide since March. They have had only three days where statewide reported deaths exceeded 20.
But they found the one nurse who is able to speak on their behalf.
With a 95% to 98%+ recovery rate even in 80+ year olds, this smells like horse crap. If they are hospitalized and dying, then what are the co-morbidities that led to pneumonia? Pneumonia is a secondary infection common with even severe colds and flu in compromised patients. The biggest question is if they are dying of pneumonia, did you not treat them at all before they got to this stage? This is the criminal aspect of paying hospitals to ventilate the patients as early as possible rather than intervening with known treatments that can lead to recovery and prevent pneumonia and other secondary infections. I agree, fake news.

this is one of the dumbest things I see, both of my inlaws just died this week because of covid, they were older yes, but they were strong people, for some reason it hit them in their lungs really bad and they could not recover, while i have seen other older people get it and much weaker than my inlaws and they have recovered, it is tragic to those it affects adversely no matter the percentage of survival! but dont say dumb things like it kills people that cant be helped anyways that is just really not reality!

There’s also the fact that denial of dying is pretty common and doesn’t mean that the person is some conspiracy theorist.
I would like to think that when I am dying, and I hope I get some warning, that I won’t obsess over the why or how. Just to have a holy death where I make my peace with God and man and go to the beyond with my work assigned here substantially accomplished.

Recall that the Fraud just put lab coats on actors and called them doctors to support his fraud.
The virus is real. Only a fool would deny it.
What is troubling is that all of the democrat mandates to stop the virus have failed. The areas/states with the most severe lockdowns and mask mandates are not doing any better than those without - even worse in some cases.
That is the rub FRiend.
The virus is not going anywhere, but our economy and freedoms are. There is a balance to be struck. Disapproving of Gretchen Whitmer DOES NOT make me a “virus denier.” I simply disagree with lockdowns - they don’t work.

I’m sorry for your loss, but we are locking up 99.5% of society who are not at risk of this virus.
Nobody’s life, including my own, is so precious that should sacrifice 99.5% of the population to try and save the 0.05% who will get it and die.
If I were at risk, I’d be saying the same thing, “To heck with it. I’m not afraid of no virus.”
Don’t take it no matter what you need to do.

All that talk doesn’t matter to Colorado right now, as one example. 3 months ago 149 people were hospitalized with positive COVID tests. That number is now over 1,200. Deaths are rising also. They are still lower than the first wave from what we would expect.
This squares with my bio-scientist relative who is working on vaccine-related efforts. He says the virus will weaken with each wave and disappear after the 4th. The vaccine will hopefully accelerate that disappearance.
He said all this about 4 months ago.
That’s not a story - where’s the rest of it??
Ages of those who are dying? Race of those dying? In SoDak I suspect many of those cases are Native Americans (this virus is hard on Latinos and NAs for some reason)
