I am guessing just saying you were gay wasn’t enough to keep you out of the army even when it wasn’t allowed.

How do you Test if someone is gay?
I worked with a number of gay guys in graphics in Manhattan and maybe 40 percent weren’t so easy to spot, even after knowing them for a while.

Inga: “Yeah, well, I have a colleague in Copenhagen who does sex-change operations.”

Inga: “Well, you would finally be transformed into a woman. It's very sophisticated surgery, but, uh, it's possible.”
