Well, Thanksgiving is sure “cancelled” for me unless a miracle occurs, and I ain’t talking about the Chinese sniffles.
The churches WERE strict about following the government rules.
When the rules were loosened people went back to mass, wearing masks
We still have rules about wearing masks during mass and people follow it, though no one follows the "limitation on the number of people in a church"
And guess what? There has been NO spreader event from a mass.
