Interesting, indeed. I was contracted to Diebold during the '06 mid-terms as a 'network technician' (READ: babysitter) for a county in Georgia. I basically sat in a locked room and had a network login to monitor the functionality of the server and OS, which was networked to the voting touchscreens in the county courthouse. It's been so long ago that the memories of that one night are way too foggy to put into detail, but I do recall thinking that this method of voting was going to turn into a dangerous drinking-and-driving issue down the road.
