Airbnb has vowed to crack down on members belonging to hate groups “like the Proud Boys” ahead of pro-Trump rallies in Washington, DC, this weekend — by canceling their reservations and banning them from the platform, the company said.
The home-share and vacation rental site has already banned at least one reservation associated with the far-right group — after receiving backlash on Twitter for hosting the person.
The company acted after a public Telegram chat thread run by the Proud Boys made the rounds on social media this week.

The banned member later went on Telegram to complain about getting blacklisted from the platform, claiming he isn’t a Proud Boys member, even though he was chatting in the thread.
“It turns out I was somehow outed to AirBnB and they canceled not only my reservation but my membership because they ‘won’t support members of hate groups.’ Funny thing is I’M NOT A PROUD BOY nor do I intend to ever be one!” the man wrote.
“I want to make it clear, I have no desire to be a Proud Boy. I was in the vetting room for a little while and when I saw some of the company I was with it gave me pause. But I 100 percent support your right to free speech,” he went on, saying Airbnb’s ban was a “badge of honor.”

Proud Boys is not a hate group. Unless you call standing against the Bolsheviks in BLM/Antifa some form of “hate”.

There’s obviously some central authority that maintains a list of the ones to ban. All the social media slavishly follow its dictates.
Not me. If I see a bumper sticker or pick up that someone is "woke" or a lefty, I'm done with them on the spot.
I don't even let any on my social media, much less do any business with them.
Look at it this way, the money they give you is less money they can donate to Democrats.

Any politician, corporate board member, journalist, professor or leader of academia who participates in these practices deserves the natural consequences of attempting to murder someone.
The political or religious views of a customer are none of the business of a publicly-traded company except to the extent they try to accommodate the special needs of their customers.
