Bill O'Reilly Predicts 'Collapse' Of Cable News Networks Post-Trump

Longtime Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly says cable news networks are going to “collapse” after President Donald Trump leaves office.

In an interview with Sinclair Broadcasting’s “America This Week” on Wednesday, O’Reilly said “something’s going on” already at Fox News.

“NBC News, CNN, and the other networks are going to collapse almost entirely,” O’Reilly said after Trump leaves office and a Joe Biden administration begins.

“They don’t have any credibility,” he said, adding “everybody knew… they were trying to destroy Trump.”

“Now you’re going to tell the truth,” he scoffed. “It’s over.”

Trump himself has blamed O’Reilly’s former network, Fox News, for his re-election woes.

Earlier this week, Trump tweeted that Fox News “daytime ratings have completely collapsed.”

Trump added that the “biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was @FoxNews.”

Fox viewers have joined with Trump and are exiting the network and tuning into Newsmax TV.

On Thursday, Nielsen reported that more than 1 million cable viewers per minute were tuning into Newsmax’s "Greg Kelly Reports" – as the network estimates an additional million viewers tuned in through streaming OTT devices.

CNN’s media analyst Brian Stelter tweeted Saturday, “At this point, I think we can confidently say that Newsmax is cutting into Fox’s base . . . “

Stelter noted that Newsmax is gaining market share for its strong pro-Trump positioning.

And O’Reilly is warning viewers that liberal media outlets that harshly challenged Trump won’t hold Biden to the same standards.

“Whatever Biden does will be the greatest thing,” O’Reilly said.

“He’s not going to hold many press conferences, he’s not going to be around.”

But O’Reilly said it won’t be Biden who wields the most power.

Drop cable altogether. You are paying ATT, Time-Warner et al.

Defund the beast.

Yeah things might get kind of boring without Trump, they won’t have a breaking story every day about something crazy/scary he said or did ha

I discovered that this week for myself. Unfortunately OAN is not on Comcast.

Yeah, and as long as the ever available RINO, Mittens Romney is on hand to spew his hatred for everything American, those networks will have a audience.

Nah, the cable networks aren’t going anywhere. As long as there’s advertising revenue to be made they’ll be there like crab grass.

Kind hard to charge NYC advertising prices when half the audience walks away and your stock is bleeding - which is why Fox is employing crisis management teams.

If before the big exodus, their commercials were starting to get more trashy and low budget.

Also cable cutting. Those people are just gone - not coming back ever.

Note that nobody under 30 even watches TV.

I told my lovely wife this exact comment last night. Not only news networks, but late night tv is history. Trump was solely responsible for all those nuts ratings.

Oh yes, definitely. The Leftist idiots will sit there lapping up the bad news, all the stagnation, economic ruin and chaos that will come if Biden is put into office. They're that stupid. They're programmed to blame it all on "Republicans''. I work with people like this. And outside of work place communication as per the job, I have nothing to say to them and they know it. Hell Bells, I'm not even talking to family members anymore.

Don’t get me wrong as Newsmax is my go to channel. Their problem during the week is they turn out the lights at 6PM PST. They need to provide live programming until at least 9PM PST. Not sure about their weekend programming schedule as I’m usually out duck hunting.

Even if Trump is out of the White House, he will still be their whipping boy.

Good post, thank you.

I imagine, even with all the ‘’bleeding’’ the tv news networks will hang on for sometime to come although they're creating their inevitable end. Newspapers, which suffered a big hit with the arrival of cable news are still managing to hang on. You're right though, the under 30 crowd doesn't watch tv news. Heck, they don't know what it is and newspaper? Pfft. To the Slacker Generation you might as well be showing ancient parchment scrolls.

Plenty of great commentary out there, folks like Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro, Charlie Kirk, just to name a few.

Some may not kiss Trump’s ass all the time, but it least in general they are on our side. This battle is way beyond just being about Donald Trump now, regardless of how the election turns out.
