One of President Donald Trump’s numerous election lawsuits was filed in the wrong federal court. Like, the really wrong court. On Tuesday, a campaign lawyer filed a Michigan-focused federal lawsuit in the Washington, D.C.-based Court of Federal Claims–which has no authority to hear an electoral fraud themed lawsuit whatsoever.

Lots of disinformation out there. I would have to see the details of the lawsuit to see if this argument presented here is valid.
Filing errors happen all the time. They make the law and courts very complicated.

I don’t think there is much funny about cheating.
I’m often reminded lately of the Woody Allen movie “Crimes and Misdeameanors” where at the end the evildoer marvels at how much he got away with.

Yes, nothing is too low for them to print. I saw an article on Yahoo News (only because I was reading an article about COVID-19 that a friend posted on FB) that headlined that “Trump rumored to be asking about pardons for him and his family”! You wouldn’t believe the bias and hatred in that rag.
They can't do that, because it might bring legitimacy to the lawsuits.
The media of all stripes thinks they smell blood in the water, but they are being fooled. They are all walking into a trap and are all going to be exposed as corrupt fools.
I have filed a lot of complaints but never comically.
What does one do to comically file a complaint? Does one present the Clerk with an exploding cigar? Does a pie fight break out in Court? Is there a stand up routine for an opening argument or do I need to insert a whoopie cushion in the Judge’s chair?
The only comedy will be when the other cases are successful and Trump wins.

Federal Courts are all e-filing and have been for nearly 20 years. I have never made such a mistake (knock on wood) but I have heard of plenty of errors. When the wrong file is uploaded, etc. I don’t know if it apocryphal but in the training for each of the various court filing systems they will tell you that someone uploaded pornographic images instead of pleadings. If you did that you would have to move to another planet.
When someone posts what is purportedly a case filing, look for a header on each page with the case number, the date, a page serial number and page x of y. In the court file it will be blue, but it may have been scanned mono-chromatically. You will see a lot of documents that are formatted as pleadings in a case, but you never know if they are filed unless you see the header applied by the court, and even then the poster could be fabricating it. If you see purported filing you can look on to PACER and enter the case number and look at the docket.
Facts matter, and the hard part in this situation is gathering the facts that support the assertion of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. An then shaping it into a case that can be filed and produce a remedy in the limited time available. Because the voting process is so insecure and sloppy, it does not capture a lot of the information that would be helpful in this challenge. But, that’s why the Democrats exploited the VBM avenue.
Maybe we should get tips from “Night Court” . . .
Meanwhile the Lawyers Billable Hours will not be reduced due to this error.
I’m sure they won’t have any problems getting the expected appeal to the SCOTUS in a week or so. The lower courts are the real comics.
