PHOENIX - Adrian Fontes has conceded to Republican Stephen Richer in the race for Maricopa County Recorder.
In a tweet posted to Twitter on Nov. 12, Fontes said he called Richer to congratulate him on winning the race.
Fontes' concession comes on the same day that a hearing will be held after the Trump campaign and Republican National Convention filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County, alleging the county "incorrectly rejected votes" made by in-person voters on election day.

I hope I didn’t sound like a smart ass. Not my intention. Fontes: Fontes has already gotten in legal battles over his efforts to make mail-in voting more widely available during the election amid the COVID-19 pandemic by sending ballots to every registered voter.
A Superior Court judge blocked the move, signing a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction filed by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich.
The recorder office is responsible for voter registration, sending ballots and maintaining the county’s recorded documents, a role the Republican candidate Richer says should be non-partisan.

This is the best news for Arizona so far!
Recorder is in charge of voting in Maricopa county (over 4 millions people). Fontes got elected four years ago by few votes. He turned out to be very creative cheater! Basically stolen McSally election two years ago and actually several others. With Fontes in charge, AZ election would always be in question!
He was coming with creative ideas how to administer the vote. Every one had at least potential for fraud. Obviously, sharpies were his last idea! Luckily the legislature got finally on top of him and prohibited some of his ideas!
Let this be a lesson, that all elections matter not just the one for POTUS.
This sob Fontes cost us a Senate seat in 2018 here.
He opened “emergency” voting centers in deep Blue precincts only (5 of them) in Maricopa County, the last 3 days before the election. Never been done before in any precincts. There was no disaster or any other legit reason to open any kind of “emergency” voting centers.
Word is the Sinema Campaign got advance notice of it and was able to hit the Blue neighborhoods with door hangers to alert their voters of the centers.
Good news for Maricopa County. Fontes is scandalous. I voted for Richer!

In Maricopa county, we had two major lowel level elections
- The county Attorney (Democrat was one of the Soros supported DA’s who are making life terrible for the San Fran and Pennsylvania etc.) Rep narrowly won
- the county Recorder (Creative Cheater Fontes)

Looks like we are OK for four years now.
