With a pen and a phone, a president can do just about anything he wants. The last two presidents haven’t bothered much with Congress — too much work and a president never seems to get everything he wants. So for both Obama and Trump, it was pretty much just a pen and forget the phone.
It’s so much more fun to make grandiose announcements about changing the world through executive orders. And no messy democracy stuff.
Joe Biden doesn’t just want to change the world, he wants to change the climate. But the climate is a stubborn beast and probably won’t want to be changed — no matter what Biden says or does. At any rate, he’s not going to change the climate with a stroke of a pen.
But he can pretend that he’s changing it. And for liberals who all live in a world of make-believe anyway, it will probably be enough.
Here are the ten executive orders that Joe Biden says he will sign the first day he’s in office, via CNN.
* Require limits on methane pollution for oil and gas operations.
* Use the federal government procurement system to work towards 100% clean energy and zero-emissions vehicles.
* Ensure US government buildings and facilities are more efficient and climate-ready.
“Climate ready”? Ready for what? The climate disaster won’t happen for another 100 years or so, but I guess it’s better to prepare now than be caught flat-footed 100 years from now.
* Implement the already-existing Clean Air Act, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation by developing new fuel economy standards to ensure all new sales for light- and medium-duty vehicles will be electrified, and annual improvements for heavy-duty vehicles.
* Double down on liquid fuels like advanced biofuels

This A-hole STEALS an election from over half the country then pretends he has some mandate to enact a radical policy agenda. What a turd.
Talk about a scientific and economic illiterate.
Most libs are usually both.
Here’s yet another example of why executive orders are bad for the Republic (no matter who uses them). They are king-like powers.
If, for example, there needs to be limits on “methane pollution”, then let Congress pass a specific law addressing that.
(And too often Congress surrenders their powers to the executive branch by allowing the president to “regulate” things.)
An evil turd, at that.
Just like his suck-buddy Obama, the REAL goal is to wreck the US economy. Just like Obama, he is a traitor to his country and deserves to swing on the yard-arm
If killing the currency and shutting down for 6 weeks isn’t enough to create a depression unlike anything ever seen, this will certainly help.
I see lots of articles with “Biden says,” but I think it’s more like “Biden’s people say.” Joe’s probably napping.
‘Everybody’ (all other countries) want the USA back in because they know a Dem Pres will make the USA taxpayers pay for NEARLY ALL of the stuff they want. Period.

Nope. The appliances will become even more unaffordable than they are currently. Have you looked at the price of a washer recently?

Companies will have to find even more ways to lighten vehicles weights so watch for more plastics and aluminum build outs. Electric vehicles are expensive. Watch the prices skyrocket while you will, eventually, pay a price for your gas guzzler in excess consumption taxes or some other penalty.
Long ago I heard for the first time the foundation of the hysterical global warming (now climate change) hoax:
Communist China and Russia will not have anything to lose but America and other free world countries will be under tight, expensive restrictions that will sink our economies and cause unrest among the populace on both sides. Communism wins.
When it was not possible to continue the “warming” hoax without data that was not counterfeit, they changed the name to “change” so they win if it’s cold or hot.
We’ll see how Americans feel when they cannot decide on using air conditioning or heat in their homes and workplaces. And being allowed to buy and drive a private automobile. And being monitored for carbon footprint with punishments. Along with new housing forced to adhere to crowded “urban density” mandates such as no more private family houses to be built.
Like Venezuelans they may see voting into socialism is followed by physical fighting to exit socialism. Dumb jerks.
Thank God Biden will not have a “day one”.
All this will have major negative effects on our economy, but ZERO effect on the “climate”. Why? Because India and China have many thousands of coal-fired power plants and are building thousands more. Anything the US does is a drop in the bucket.
But it will startup (again) the exfiltration of wealth from the US to other countries.
It will be too expensive to make things here because of the high energy costs.
Not to mention it will kill our energy sector and we will be buying Mid-East oil again.
An America Last policy.
These should be added:
* Force rich people living in waterfront houses in Malibu, Santa Barbara, Florida Keys, Miami Beach, Martha’s Vineyard (including the Obamas) to sell their homes for pennies on the dollar. This is just a preventative measure that will save money in the long run.
* Force Freepers to buy above-mentioned homes.
I’m torn. If he ends up winning (which I haven’t yet conceded), part of me wants him to do what he’s promised. Maybe ban oil on day one. Let Pennsylvania and Michigan have what they voted for. I know I’m probably being emotional and spiteful. I’m wrestling with the urge to say “enjoy your $5/gallon gas you socialist dumba$$es”.
Trump mostly rescinded illegal exec orders, try again.
Biden doesn’t say anything the globalist party does.
