The pre-concert checklist for music fans is about to get more complicated, as Ticketmaster is planning to check the coronavirus vaccination status of concert-goers prior to shows once a treatment is approved, Billboard reported Wednesday.
The ticketing giant plans to have customers use their cellphones to verify their inoculation or whether they’ve tested negative for the virus within a 24- to 72-hour window, according to the exclusive report.
The plan, which is still being ironed out, will utilize three separate components, including the California-based company’s digital ticketing app, third-party health information firms like CLEAR Health Pass and testing/vaccination distributors like Labcorp or CVS Minute Clinic.
Ticketmaster will reportedly not store or access medical records under the plan. If approved, fans would need to verify that they’ve either already been vaccinated or have tested negative as recently as 24 hours prior to the show.
Concert-goers would then instruct a lab to send over test results to companies like CLEAR Health Pass or IBM’s Digital Health Pass, which would verify the fan’s status to Ticketmaster. Anyone who tests positive or doesn’t get screened won’t be granted access to the event venue, Billboard reported.

I am watching Patriot and decided to look up American Revolution.
I never learned - or have forgotten- that one of the reasons we were able to win the War was because Washington believed in vaccines .He innoculated the military against small pox despite it being controversial. He had small pox when he was younger.
That said, I am not getting the COVID vaccine until many others have already taken it.

HIPPA is for employment and government agency’s. I figured you free market capitalists would be on board for a private business entity making their own liability due diligence. It is an at will contractual relationship no one is forcing someone to attend a concert. The business entity is offering a service with preexisting conditions for entering into a contract for entertainment take it or leave it. They have the FREEDOM to make that choice as a legal entity as does the other party who wishes to attend under a contract of presence. You can’t have it both ways either a they have the freedom to regulate the contract or not. Suck it up.
If they do this, then there won’t be masks required inside the venue.
I sense that the concert planning companies went to get back to “normal” in the coming spring/summer seasons.
The bands won’t be happy about this.

I would never attend a concert if I had to show proof of being Covid free.
I am. But my health is NONE of their concern.

All of these were excellent live (some I’d never bought their music) Some I went to alone just because I got sick of flakey compadres (a friend fell asleep in Steely Dan! Bwahahaha!) Several other shows I gave tickets away, got tired of going. Add this Ticketmaster nonsense to the mix and forget it.
You antivax tinfoil fools do realize that every vaccine in operation warp speed has under gone the full triple phase double blind testing that every other FDA approved vaccine has been put through. Potus removed bureaucratic process he did not remove the science from it. Hundreds of thousands of people have been vaccinated at this point in over a dozen counties. China has given well over 100k, Russia as well with Sputnik V. China has documented 56000 in unrestricted international travel and zero have been infected. No surprise they created the bug they likely had the antidote from the start or very close to it. Vaccines work it’s tinfoil idiocy to think they don’t. The list is long smallpox, measles, yellow fever, dengue, polio, add Ebola as of this year. As a military man I personally have taken over 200 shots in 11 years active n 5 5 reserves other than anthrax series never has so much as a mild fever. Get over the tinfoil crazy stuff it makes people turned off it so crazy sounding. Bill Gates is not microchipping people with a soluble vaccine. It’s not possible with modern physics to have a chip that fits down a narrow bore hypodermic needle

and they will quickly drop the negative COVID option once the vaccine is available.
