Forgive us. Were not buying it. The firearm industry, and gun owners in general, are leery of being put on enemies lists. Or terror watch lists. Or gun registries. We know these things are ripe for abuse for radical ideas like rehabilitation, re-education, indoctrination, or confiscation.
Its un-American. Period. Its also telling that while Joe Biden is calling for the keys to the White House and telling Americans hell heal and unite the nation, hes not disavowing the overt threat by a member of Congress that those who disagree with a radical agenda will be listed. Hes also not walked back his accusation in 2019 that the firearm industry is the enemy, and his threat to come after us.
Listed for what, exactly? To be exposed? Most certainly. To be vilified? Absolutely. To be deemed as a threat and have their rights stripped from them without due process? Thats a bridge we dont want to cross and one that gun control zealots cant wait to skip across.

The process of getting compliance with "registration" is another story.
Subsequent attempts at confiscation would be even more problematic.
I believe that product liability is how the Dems wipe out the private gun industry. Allow the manufacturer to get sued out of existence. Step-1 stop making new guns. Then they deal w/ existing ones
Someday (hopefully not this cycle), we will have a dim prez and a dim senate. Demographics are not on our side (long term).
Once this happens, short of insurrection, we will lose the 2a......and more.
My only hope is the dim party fractures. They’re not a real happy bunch under their tent.
Ultimately it all boils down to one damn question. Just who the hell is the government going to get to go door to door to confiscate what isn’t turned in to them? I can’t see enough LEOs of any government agency(local, state or federal)still wanting to try it.
How can 15 million guns have 34 million owners?
Yup - With next to no records of who owns what couple with the risk of trying it makes it a non starter.
Hmmmmmmm? CanaDUH math or joint custody after a divorce? Just a SWAG.
History shows if they want to try this, then they’ll have zero issues finding people to do the confiscation.
They may find some who are willing, but will it be enough to even make a dent in ownership? I just don’t think they will find enough. Those they do find may change their minds when they take 20% causalities at each house they try to raid.
IMHO
BE AFRAID. BE VERY AFRAID!
Know what scares me more than the Democrat’s effort to steal ANOTHER in a long string of elections?
That around 40%+ of those we encounter each day are NOT OFFENDED AND ANGRY ABOUT IT and MOST ACTUALLY APPLAUD THEIR CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR!
The soul of a nation lies in the hearts of the citizens.
Even if this CRIME is resolved in Trump’s favor (and it WILL BE!), FOLKS, WE’RE STILL IN BIG TROUBLE (AS IN CIVIL WAR INITIATED BY THE SAME ANTIFA/BLM MORONS WHO BURN, BEAT & KILL)!
HITLER’S BROWN SHIRTS COME TO MIND and I wonder if concern for their PERSONAL SAFETY is what’s keeping some folks from PUBLICLY resisting the IN-YOUR-FACE CRIMINALITY OF THE LEFT?
As earlier, it appears that the indoctrination that began in the 60’s (50’s?) is finally paying off. I agree that is indeed a sad state of affairs that more folks are NOT po’d and as you stated almost gleeful of the events unfolding.
“Yup - With next to no records of who owns what couple with the risk of trying it makes it a non starter.”
ATF knows where 95% of guns are almost without trying.
1. The 4473 forms you fill out to buy a gun and get your background check are maintained by law by the FFL who sells you the gun. Most FFL’s are digitized and ATF has essentially unlimited and instantaneous access to those records.
2. Have you ever bought ammo online? Or with a credit card?
3. Have you ever bought a holster online? Or with a credit card?
4. Have you ever posted about an unfortunate boating accident?
5. Do you have a “This house protected by Smith and Wesson” sign or an NRA sticker on your front door?
6. Do you wear T-shirts with gun slogans on them or Gadsen Flags?
They know who you are and if they don’t, they can find out very, very quickly.

But the form I grant you exists
2. Have you ever bought ammo online? Or with a credit card? NO - Cash in store
3. Have you ever bought a holster online? Or with a credit card? NO
4. Have you ever posted about an unfortunate boating accident? NO
5. Do you have a This house protected by Smith and Wesson sign or an NRA sticker on your front door? NO - Old house long time ago
6. Do you wear T-shirts with gun slogans on them or Gadsen Flags? NO
Time-share guns, kinda like time-share condos?
Excellent summary by you...
Unfortunately, most dire warnings about liberty & freedom have been totally ignored by the masses since 1788...
This communist coup was planned and organized over 100-years ago...
Ever try to quickly stop an aircraft carrier, oil tanker, or container ship dead in the water...
That’s the job before us now...
Jimmy,
You have done much better than most at being discreet about your firearms ownership. Good job!
“Subsequent attempts at confiscation would be even more problematic.”
That’s what the red-flag laws are for. They will pick folks off one at a time after secret hearings “proving” they are crazy.
Misuse of Red-flag laws would be quickly noticed and responded to appropriately.
