Owners of small businesses reported good business conditions in the face of rising covid-19 infections in October even while they became increasingly wary that governments could once again issue lockdown orders, according to data released Tuesday.
The National Federation of Independent Businesses said its optimism index remained at 104 in October, even with the September score and a historically high reading. That was in line with expectations.

I see large protests in the streets due to lock downs next year if Biden gets into office.

Not a week goes by that another business, especially restaurants, in my town go out of business.
If Biden becomes president, he’ll lock the country down.

Here in Florida we had a big surge in June. DeSantis didn’t panic the state into lockdown. Hospitals were never overwhelmed. We didn’t go into lockdown. We weathered it. Business and the housing market down here are thriving. If you were to come to Lee County in SW FL you would see things pretty much normal. Churches are open. People who want to wear masks are wearing them. Those who don’t want to wear them don’t unless a particular business requires it. People are so different on the west coast of Florida. The east coast gets the rude northeasterners. The west coast gets the friendly people from the midwest.
That’s the idea. Destroy small businesses and our economy and remake our society in a Marxist mold. Hope more people will wake up to what’s going on.

I think he said that to create the impression that he would listen to "science", unlike the anti-science Pres. Trump. The idea that the Dems are the party that believes in science has become one of their main selling points as they have morphed into a party that is hostile to the kinds of things the middle class cares about. It plays well with airheaded recent college grads, especially the ones who majored in "white capitalist oppression studies" who didn't even take any science courses.

My small business has been shut down since March. We depend on concerts, ball games, etc. to function. We probably won’t reopen.
The “surge” is based on fraudulant nonsense. The tests being used have an approximately 90% false positive rate. We are now into flu season and everyone with a headache, sore throat or cough is getting tested for coronavirus. The fact that you can't see the forest through the trees says more about you than I ever could.
Say what you want about me. It won't change the fact that a) The flubro/a faction on FR, or at least a significant portion of it, claimed that the coronavirus was a hoax cooked up by the media to throw the election and there would be no more COVID-19 stories after 11/4 and b) it is after 11/4 and clearly there are still plenty of COVID-related news articles.

my advice to people like you (I get you’re just trolling here) is to get a dictionary and look up the word ‘hyperbole...’
it is an oft used technique to bring a dramatic focus on an opinion; it is not designed to be 100 percent on the money...but of course you know this...
