The European Union will impose tariffs on up to $4 billion of U.S. imports in retaliation for U.S. subsidies for Boeing, but said on Monday it was hopeful of an improvement in trade ties under U.S. President-elect Joe Biden.

They’re doing this in anticipation of Joe giving them money to settle the issue. Boy, are they gonna be as upset as the teenager who sneaks his way into his girlfriend’s parent’s room at night.

Thank god we in the UK will be out of the transition period before Trump leaves office. Although I am sure Biden will try to screw us as punishment for Brexit and because he is an “Irish” American.

This was coming. And while I admire how much Trump was able to get done with all the distractions thrown at him; right now we need to be laser focused on the election vote above all else, short of an actual physically threat of foreign attack.

They’ve tried this before - specifically with Boeing - and lost every single time. File a dispute with the WTO and impose countervailing tariffs on Airbus in the meantime.
